The success of the award contributes to creating positive changes in the work of Party building and the city's political system. This year's award ceremony is held on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee (March 17, 1930 - March 17, 2025).

Participating in the competition for the fourth time, journalist Lai Thi Hoa and a group of reporters from the News Department, Voice of Vietnam Radio, produced a series of articles: "Red Seeds". Journalist Lai Thi Hoa said that the series of articles aims to concretize Resolution No. 21-NQ/TU dated June 16, 2022, the 5th Conference, the 13th Party Central Committee on strengthening the construction of grassroots Party organizations and improving the quality of Party members in the new period. From there, the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee issued Project No. 20-DA/TU dated October 24, 2022 on "Improving the quality of Party membership admission in the Hanoi Party Committee in the new period", emphasizing the work of developing Party members in schools.
To carry out the series, the group of reporters visited many high schools in Hanoi to reflect on the feelings and aspirations of party members who have just turned 18. “To have these “red seeds”, many high schools have made efforts to “incubate”. Not only focusing on teaching knowledge in class, schools also pay attention to political education, ideology, ethics, lifestyle, awareness, and civic responsibility. Through that, they have discovered, trained and nurtured a source of excellent students to introduce to the Party”, journalist Lai Thi Hoa shared.
The series also affirms the honor and pride of each young party member, but this is only the beginning of a journey of continuous self-cultivation. That requires each young party member to always "self-reflect", "self-correct", and self-improve to devote their intelligence and enthusiasm to the cause of building the Fatherland.
Journalist Tran Thi Hoai and a group of reporters from the People's Army Newspaper participated in the contest with a series of 5 articles: "Public ethics - Core values of the administrative system serving and for the people in Hanoi". Journalist Tran Thi Hoai said that public ethics is a difficult but not unfamiliar topic. In Hanoi, this content is always considered important by the city in the overall strategy of reforming the professional, modern, effective, honest, and people-serving administrative system. To demonstrate the new, the group of reporters delved into the reality in many localities, focusing on specific stories and models. "We have found limitations and shortcomings in building and practicing public ethics. Through the opinions of experts, scientists, and managers, the series of articles has proposed and recommended specific solutions to overcome and improve in the coming time in building and practicing public ethics", emphasized journalist Tran Thi Hoai.
According to journalist Tran Thi Hoai, the Press Award on Party building and the political system of Hanoi city is a meaningful playground, an opportunity for reporters and editors to deeply study the topic considered "difficult" as Party building. From there, they will give their views and proposals on issues arising in the work of Party building and the political system of Hanoi city in the process of building and developing the capital. The Award has a strong influence on press agencies and the whole society, contributing to creating positive changes in the work of Party building and the political system of Hanoi city.
Quality works, carefully invested
Pursuant to Plan No. 236-KH/TU dated May 13, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee on organizing the 7th Press Award on Party building and the political system of Hanoi in 2024, the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda Department (now the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department) issued Plan No. 150-KH/BTGTU dated July 8, 2024 to organize the award. Immediately after receiving the direction of the Party Committee on organizing the award, Hanoi press agencies focused on improving the quality of special pages and columns to promote propaganda on Party building work; at the same time, creating conditions and encouraging cadres, reporters, and editors to actively participate in the award, on that basis, many quality works were selected to participate in the award.
This year's award continues to attract the participation and response of many press agencies. As of December 6, 2024, the Organizing Committee has received a total of 184 works from 26 press agencies and units; including 53 print press works, 95 electronic press works, 8 radio works and 28 television works. Hanoi press agencies continue to organize preliminary rounds from the grassroots level and select 124 works to participate in the award; central, ministerial and sectoral press agencies sent a total of 60 works to participate.
With a spirit of objectivity, impartiality and high responsibility, from December 13, 2024 to December 25, 2024, the Preliminary Council completed the evaluation of the Preliminary Round and met, discussed and agreed to introduce 78 works (from 25/26 participating press agencies) to the Final Round.
After the results of the Preliminary Round were announced, the Organizing Committee chaired the organization of the Final Round and held a meeting of the Final Round Council to discuss and agree on the results of the Final Round.
According to the assessment of the members of the Judging Council and the Organizing Committee, the award continues to attract the participation and response of many central press agencies. The press works participating in the award are of good quality and quite uniform. In general, the content of the works is basically general, theoretical and highly practical, focusing on urgent and practical issues raised by Hanoi in the work of Party building and the political system in the current period. In particular, the electronic press works are of higher quality and have been invested in more elaborately than in previous years.
Deputy Head of the Hanoi Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department Nguyen Huy Cuong said that many entries to the contest closely followed the breath of life, discovered new issues, and renewed the way of writing about a familiar, traditional topic, thereby demonstrating hard work and creativity, bringing appeal in the way of expression. The organization of the newspapers is also more methodical, with deeper and clearer professionalism.
Most of the articles closely follow the Party building work and the political system of the City Party Committee; closely follow the programs, work projects, and directions of the City Party Committee, especially for the key tasks of bringing the Resolution of the 17th Hanoi Party Congress and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress into life. Some press agencies have many good quality works, building systematic articles such as: Voice of Vietnam, People's Army Newspaper, Vietnam Television, Hanoi Moi Newspaper, Economic & Urban Newspaper, Hanoi Radio and Television, Capital Security Special Topic, Capital Youth Newspaper.
Compared to 2023, the number of participating articles is greater, the quality of the articles is good, and they are carefully invested, demonstrating the attention of the Editorial Board of the press agency to the propaganda work on the theme of Party building in the city and the spread and influence of the award on central press agencies, ministries and branches.
The Final Council of the 7th Hanoi City Press Award on Party Building and Political System unanimously selected 2 press agencies with the same Excellent rank and 33 best press works to award prizes, including 3 A prizes, 5 B prizes, 7 C prizes, 3 C - Special prizes and 15 Encouragement prizes.
