In cultural and artistic pages, the dissemination and raising of awareness about preserving and promoting traditional cultural values has been flexibly expressed through various forms: articles introducing artist portraits, memoirs, short stories, essays, poems... contributing to meeting the reception needs of readers.
Quang Tri Newspaper always goes hand in hand with propaganda on building the beauty of families/villages/healthy cultural environments, inheriting, preserving and promoting traditional values of the nation, arousing and multiplying patriotism, national spirit... with fighting and criticizing social evils, bad customs, moral degradation, lifestyle, deviant views and behaviors.
In particular, promoting the role and mission of protecting the Party's ideological foundation, Quang Tri Newspaper has organized news lines and articles to promptly combat and refute the arguments of hostile, reactionary, and opportunistic political forces, distortions and fabrications aimed at sabotaging our Party and State, including false and fabricated arguments in the fields of culture and ideology.
Besides the achieved results, the propaganda of Quang Tri Newspaper in implementing Resolution 33-NQ/TW also encountered many difficulties, namely: the cultural topic is a broad and difficult content, requiring in-depth investment in terms of expertise, but currently Quang Tri Newspaper has not gathered many experts and good writers on this topic.
Besides, the propaganda and public opinion orientation work on the official press system sometimes does not keep up with the information on social networks because it is still waiting for instructions from all levels and functional sectors... These things have a significant impact on the propaganda work on culture and people of Quang Tri of the Newspaper.
In the current period, Quang Tri Newspaper is required to both implement the principles, purposes, functions and tasks of a Party newspaper and constantly innovate and create, making an important contribution to the propaganda and promotion of the unique traditional cultural features of the nation, the land and people of Quang Tri. To effectively implement the above requirements, it is necessary to propose some basic solutions as follows:
Firstly, continue to widely propagate the viewpoints, goals, key tasks and main solutions of Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW associated with the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas"... to cadres, party members and people of all walks of life.
Promote information and propaganda activities on traditional cultural values and good qualities of Quang Tri people; increase news and articles about typical collectives and individuals in implementing Resolution 33-NQ/TW; promptly reflect outstanding, sensitive and arising issues related to the cultural field in the province so that competent agencies can find solutions.
Second, it is necessary to strengthen the direction, orientation and provision of accurate and timely information on issues related to the cultural and human fields in the province for the press team, maximizing the strengths of a Party newspaper to effectively serve the information and propaganda to all classes of people.
Third, there needs to be close, smooth, and synchronous coordination between the cultural management and leadership agency and the press management and leadership agency in orienting and managing press and media information on culture, aiming at the consistent goal of arousing aspirations and strongly promoting human cultural values.
Fourth, it is necessary to focus resources, create innovation in content and form, promote the advantages of the internet and social networks to continuously update news, bring Quang Tri Newspaper closer to the public, and better suit the needs of readers and the changes of the times.
The more developed the society is, the more urgent the need to learn, preserve and promote traditional cultural values becomes. If we do not promote propaganda and raise awareness among each citizen, traditional cultural values will face the risk of being lost and even distorted.
Therefore, promoting and raising awareness of the importance of traditional cultural values is not only the responsibility of the press but also requires the cooperation of agencies, departments, branches, units and individuals in the province.
