According to the announcement of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations will have Tet holiday from Saturday, January 25 (ie December 26, year of Giap Thin) to Sunday, February 2 (ie January 5, year of At Ty).
The holiday lasts 9 days, including 5 official Tet holidays and 4 weekly days off as prescribed in the Labor Code.

According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Tet holiday schedule is according to the regulations of the State. Currently, there is no regulation requiring teachers to be on duty during Tet or summer. If the school has a plan to arrange teachers to participate in Tet or summer duty, it must be agreed by the teachers, and at the same time, the employees are entitled to overtime pay.
Specifically, based on Clause 2, Article 12, Law on Public Employees 2010, teachers who are public employees when working overtime are entitled to benefits according to the provisions of law and regulations of public service units.
Accordingly, Article 98 of the 2019 Labor Code stipulates wages for overtime and night work as follows:
Employees working overtime on holidays, Tet, and paid leave days must be paid at least 300%, not including holiday, Tet, and paid leave wages for employees receiving daily wages.
Workers working at night are paid an additional amount of at least 30% of their wages calculated according to the unit price of wages or actual wages paid for the work of a normal working day.
Employees working overtime at night, in addition to being paid according to the above regulations, will also be paid an additional 20% of their salary calculated according to the salary unit price or salary according to the work done during the day on holidays and Tet.
Each day, there will be one leader (Board of Directors) and one administrative person on duty. Normally, the members of the Board of Directors will take turns on duty. In a type I school, each person may be on duty for about 1.5-2 days; in a type II or type III school, there will be more.
The Ministry of Education and Training has just announced the 2024-2025 school year schedule, the first semester will end before January 18 this year. The program will be completed and the school year will end before May 31.
Regarding the principles for developing local school year schedules, the Ministry of Education and Training stipulates: Local school year schedules must ensure 35 weeks of actual study (18 weeks for semester one, 17 weeks for semester two).
