(Dan Tri) - Returning to their hometown to work after graduating from university, young people in Hai Phong create their future by "moving out" thanks to the affordable apartment prices.
Hai Phong is an interesting city with a mix of lifestyles. People in Hai Phong, like many other provinces and cities across the country, still maintain the habit of living in ground-level houses, considering them as the property of the whole family. However, with many young people of Generation Y and Generation Z deciding to stay in the city, the habits of Hai Phong people are tending to shift from ground-level houses to apartments.
Desire for freedom, want to live the way you want
Many years ago, living with parents after graduating from university and going to work was quite obvious for most young people. However, today's young generation, especially Gen Z, has different thoughts, wanting to freely express their personality, decide their own life and private space.

Hai Phong Port City, with its dynamic lifestyle and strong economic development, is witnessing an exciting new trend among young people: buying a house to live alone. No longer bound by the concept of "three or four generations under one roof", more and more young people in Hai Phong, even from their 20s, have boldly spent money to own their dream home and enjoy an independent life. This trend not only reflects a change in thinking and lifestyle but also shows the admirable maturity and financial independence of the young generation of the Port City.
"I want to have my own space to comfortably do what I like, decorate as I like, raise pets, or invite friends over," said Minh Anh (26 years old, office worker in Hai Phong), one of the young people who just bought an apartment in the city center.
Apartment living is becoming a trend among young people.
Apartments, with diverse designs, convenient infrastructure, and high liquidity, are a real estate segment attracting young people, instead of the ground-level apartments where their parents lived.
According to Property Guru, Gen Z and Gen Y people under the age of 35 have had a continuous increase in searching for real estate information over the past three years.
Gem Park is located in the center of Hong Bang district and is of interest to young people because of its convenience for all three criteria: living - working - entertainment.
A consumer psychology survey by Batdongsan.com.vn on the proportion of people planning to buy real estate in 2024 shows that 64% are under 39 years old.
Hai Phong has become an attractive place for young people because the dream of owning an apartment is relatively easier than in other big cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, etc. The city is in a period of explosive growth, with an impressive double-digit increase over a decade; however, the apartment real estate market has not grown proportionately.
With a monthly income of 35 million VND, Mr. Hung and his wife, Ms. Thu (U30 Hai Phong) are satisfied with buying an apartment on installments and moving to live right next to the city center. "Our children go to school conveniently, and both of us work nearby. We think the decision to move out and live in an apartment is the right one," Ms. Thu said.
Hai Phong is in the golden population period, according to data from the Hai Phong City Statistics Office. This is a period when major changes are expected to take place in the lives of local people. In particular, the trend of "moving to apartments" is becoming increasingly popular and evident.
Living alone is not difficult
Economist Phan Le Thanh Long - Director of AFA Research & Education, after visiting the model apartment at Gem Park Hai Phong project, said that the apartment design is very smart, suitable for couples and young families.
Gem Park with 56 internal facilities surrounding the apartment serves all daily needs of residents.
Gem Park, developed by Korean experts, has set a new standard for apartment housing with modern architecture. The multi-level utility system integrated in the 5,000m2 house of Gem Park has conquered busy 9x businessmen who always know how to find balance to regenerate their labor. There are up to 56 utilities surrounding the apartment, all the daily needs of a modern person: rest, work, study, play, exercise, develop and connect.
Gym, yoga room, office, rooftop relaxation garden, resort-standard salt electrolysis swimming pool with a series of sunken and floating bar stools, beanbag chairs and hammocks for sunbathing and soaking, providing the ultimate relaxation experience throughout the 4 seasons.
Next to it is Hi Avenue, a street filled with the youthful and dynamic spirit of Korean K-Pop, an ideal meeting and connection place for young people. "Young people want to have their own apartment. But they are not easy-going. That is why we always pay attention to every detail at Gem Park," said Mr. Jeong Cheol, member of the Board of Directors of NHO - the developer of the Gem Park project.
Gem Park is also popular with young people because of its flexible payment schedule: only 30% (equivalent to 680 million VND/2-bedroom apartment) until receiving the house. During the 2-year period, customers do not need to borrow from the bank and are not under financial pressure. This promises to be a payment method that helps young customers have enough time to arrange cash flow for the next payments. For investors, they only need to spend a small initial capital, can rent out and earn a stable income of 12 million VND/month or receive a breakthrough profit if the liquidity is at the time of apartment handover.
