Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said that from February 17, the railway will reduce passenger trains on the North-South route, apply promotional policies, and reduce ticket prices during the low season after Tet.

Accordingly, the railway applies a policy of discounting tickets purchased far in advance.
Specifically, passengers who buy individual tickets far from the date of the SE1/SE2, SE3/SE4, SE5/SE6, SE7/SE8 trains with a travel distance of 900km or more; the SE19/SE20, SE21/SE22 trains with a distance of 600km or more; the SE29/SE30 trains with a distance of 400km or more; the SNT1/SNT2 trains with a distance of 300km or more (not applicable to the 4-berth compartment type of the SE3 train and the SNT1/SNT2 train pair) will receive a discount depending on the time of ticket purchase before the travel date.
Buy 10-19 days in advance, get 5% off; buy 20-39 days in advance, get 10% off; buy 40 days or more in advance, get 15% off.
Passengers who buy individual tickets for the SPT1/SPT2 train from Saigon station to Phan Thiet station 10 days or more before departure will receive a 10% discount on the ticket price (not applicable to 4-bed cabin seats).
For groups of 11-40 people, if you buy 10-19 days in advance, you will get a 4% discount on the ticket price; if you buy 20 days or more in advance, you will get a 6% discount. For groups of 41-70 people, the discount is 6% and 8%, respectively; for groups of 71-100 people, the discount is 8% and 10%, respectively; for groups of 101 people or more, the discount is 10% and 12%.
In addition, the railway still maintains a ticket discount policy for social policy beneficiaries: Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, war invalids, seriously ill soldiers, people with disabilities, children, students, union members, etc.
