Of which, international flights had 422 takeoffs and landings, an increase of 139% over the same period in 2023. Domestic flights had 289 takeoffs and landings, a decrease of 20% over the same period in 2023.
According to Mr. Tran Minh Duc - Chairman of Khanh Hoa Tourism Association, the number of visitors from the North this year to the locality is quite limited due to high airfares.
Northern tourists who cannot enter Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa have the option of traveling to the northern mountainous provinces or moving to coastal areas such as Ha Long, Sam Son...
However, according to Mr. Duc, the number of visitors from the southern provinces to Nha Trang during this year's holiday is very potential thanks to the opening of the Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang expressway, shortening travel time by car.
However, Mr. Duc also said that the number of visitors from the South to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa will increase or decrease during the holiday because localities such as Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan located on the highway also have products that compete with Khanh Hoa.
Khanh Hoa strengthens inspection of food establishments before the holidays
Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism has just sent a document to businesses in the province about food safety and hygiene.
The department believes that hot weather is a favorable condition for the development of microorganisms, so facilities need to increase supervision and not contract with unqualified facilities. In case of food poisoning, it is necessary to immediately report to the nearest health agency for coordination in handling.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Dai - Deputy Head of Nha Trang City Health Department - said that during the peak month of food safety and hygiene, the interdisciplinary team of the city and localities is inspecting food businesses and processing establishments in the area and will soon report the inspection results in the first quarter to Nha Trang City People's Committee.
For restaurants and hotels, the Department of Tourism and the Department of Food Safety and Hygiene will inspect.
According to Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Interdisciplinary Steering Committee for Food Safety and Hygiene - the province directed the inspection of food establishments, restaurants, and hotels to last until May 15.
"The province has directed units and localities to tighten food safety management, while maintaining and organizing inspections and strictly handling violations according to regulations when violations are discovered at establishments," Mr. Thieu affirmed.
