Specifically, early this morning, DOJI Gold and Gemstone Group listed the price of 9999 round smooth gold rings at 75.05-76.55 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Compared to the end of yesterday's session, the price of gold rings at DOJI increased by 1.1 million VND/tael for buying and 1 million VND/tael for selling.

Similarly, Bao Tin Minh Chau opened this morning and also raised the price of Thang Long gold rings to 75.02-76.52 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 1 million VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to yesterday's closing price.

Saigon Jewelry Company Limited (SJC) also increased the price of gold rings by 800 thousand VND/tael in both directions compared to yesterday's closing price, listing the price of 9999 gold rings of type 1-5 chi in Ho Chi Minh City at 8:36 am at 74.3-76 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

The price of gold rings of Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) also increased sharply. PNJ's gold rings in Ho Chi Minh City early this morning were bought and sold at 74.2-76 million VND/tael, an increase of 700 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to the end of yesterday's session.

The difference between the buying and selling price of gold rings currently fluctuates from 1.5-1.8 million VND per tael.

Following the same trend, the price of domestic gold bars increased sharply this morning, reaching a record high of 90.5 million VND/tael.

The price of SJC gold bars increased by 1 million VND/tael in both buying and selling prices compared to the end of yesterday's trading session. At 8:36 am, the price of SJC gold bars was listed in Ho Chi Minh City at 88.2-90.5 million VND/tael (buying - selling) - the highest price ever for domestic gold bars.

DOJI also raised the price of gold bars by 1 million VND/tael for both buying and selling compared to yesterday's closing price, listed at 9:11 am at 87.8-89.3 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

Domestic gold prices increased sharply in the context of rapidly increasing world gold prices.

At 9:34 a.m. today (May 10, Vietnam time), the world spot gold price was at 2,347.8 USD/ounce, up 38.8 USD/ounce compared to last night.

Gold prices soared after the US Department of Labor reported that the number of unemployment claims rose to 231,000 last week, higher than economists polled by Reuters, raising expectations that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) will soon cut interest rates.

Converted at the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, world gold costs more than 72.13 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees).

Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 18.37 million VND/tael higher and the price of SJC gold rings is 3.87 million VND/tael more expensive than the world gold price.
