Late this afternoon, DOJI listed the price of plain round gold rings at 74.65-76.35 million VND/tael (buy - sell).

Similarly, the price of gold rings of other brands also decreased rapidly.

Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) this afternoon listed the price of 9999 gold rings of 1-5 chi in Ho Chi Minh City at 74-75.9 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 800 thousand VND/tael in both directions compared to the closing price last week.

Bao Tin Minh Chau Company bought and sold Thang Long gold rings and dragon gold at the end of this afternoon at 74.73-76.43 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 530 thousand VND/tael in both directions compared to the end of last week.

The price of gold rings at Phu Nhuan Jewelry Joint Stock Company (PNJ) also decreased by 500 thousand VND/tael in both buying and selling, to 74.3-76.3 million VND/tael.

Meanwhile, domestic gold bar prices today fluctuated strongly when they plummeted at the beginning of the session but quickly reversed to increase.

Early this morning, the price of SJC gold bars decreased by 1.7 million VND/tael for buying and 1.2 million VND/tael for selling compared to the end of last week, reaching 82.8 million VND/tael (selling).

Gold bar price at Doji opened today's session also decreased by 1.5 million VND/tael for buying and 1.1 million VND/tael for selling compared to the closing price last week.

However, after the news that the State Bank canceled the auction this morning, the price of SJC gold bars increased sharply again. From 9:17 a.m. to noon today, the price of SJC gold bars increased by a total of 700,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions.

At the end of the session, the price of SJC gold bars was listed at 81-83.5 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 1 million VND/tael for buying and down 500 thousand VND/tael for selling compared to the end of last week.

The price of gold bars at DOJI at the end of the session was listed at 81-83.45 million VND/tael (buy - sell), down 650 thousand VND/tael for buying and down 400 thousand VND/tael for selling compared to the closing price of the trading session last weekend.

World gold prices also fell sharply. At 4:46 p.m. on April 22 (Vietnam time), the world spot gold price was at 2,359 USD/ounce, down 33 USD/ounce compared to the end of last week.

Converted at the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, world gold is currently priced at nearly 72.48 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees).

Compared to the world gold price, each tael of SJC gold bar is about 11.02 million VND more expensive, while the price of SJC gold rings is 3.42 million VND higher.
