Gold prices in the international market skyrocketed again as the US dollar rose and the world was unstable. Gold rose again due to high demand for buying at the bottom after the precious metal fell in the previous session, contrary to the law. In the previous session, gold prices plummeted despite the world being unstable and most other assets, from stocks, the US dollar to US government bond yields, falling.
After the pressure from selling to cover losses in other investment channels was gone, demand for gold bottom-fishing increased again, thereby pushing the price up very quickly.
The constant turmoil in the world financial markets, along with the decline of the USD, has pushed money back into gold. The US stock market is in a very difficult period, under great selling pressure.
In the session on March 11, the DXY index (measuring the fluctuations of the USD against a basket of 6 key currencies) decreased by 0.3% to 103.43 points.
Domestically, by the end of the trading session on March 11, the price of 9999 gold bars at SJC and Doji was listed at 91-93 million VND/tael (buy - sell). In some places, the selling price was up to 93.5 million VND/tael.

Doji listed the price of 9999 smooth round gold rings at 92.1-93.5 million VND/tael (buy - sell). In some places, gold rings sometimes reached 93.7 million VND/tael.
Gold Price Forecast
Thus, gold prices are returning to an upward trend as predicted by many leading financial institutions in the world.
John Ciampaglia, CEO of Sprott Asset Management, said that uncertainties surrounding Donald Trump's potential tax policies and changes in global monetary policy are creating both risks and opportunities in the metals market.
Ciampaglia also pointed to interest in physical gold, particularly central bank buying and the return of Western investors. Not only are central banks buying more gold, but they are also “repatriating gold from the US, from the UK, back to their central banks,” he said.
Gold is reasserting its status as a monetary metal, Ciampaglia said, with Western investors recently pouring money into gold ETFs after being relatively indifferent to the commodity in 2024.
Despite the doubts, Ciampaglia said that gold prices are likely to rise sharply.
Gold is also expected to benefit from concerns about a possible US recession after Mr Trump did not deny the possibility of a US recession.
According to technical analysis, gold prices tend to increase in the short term. The next target for gold is $2,974/ounce for April. This is a high resistance level. However, gold will have to conquer this week's high at $2,926/ounce first, followed by last week's high of $2,941/ounce.
