Pepper prices today (March 24) in the domestic market are trading at 159,000 - 160,500 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous day, but up 1,000 - 1,500 VND/kg compared to a week ago. In the world market, pepper prices also increased by 100 USD/ton in key producing countries.

In the short term, domestic pepper prices are expected to remain stable at a high level, with the possibility of a slight increase due to increased export demand. In the international market, pepper prices may continue to increase, especially black pepper, thanks to strong demand from major markets.

According to experts, there are many factors affecting the current pepper price, including: Major pepper producing countries such as Vietnam, Indonesia and Brazil are all facing a decrease in production due to unfavorable weather. Consumption demand is increasing because major consumer markets such as the US and Europe are increasing pepper imports to serve the food and spice industry. In addition, the US dollar remains high, supporting pepper prices in the international market.
