On the London floor, at 4:30 a.m. on February 14, 2025, Robusta coffee prices had a slight decrease compared to yesterday, a decrease of 23 - 33 USD/ton, ranging from 5,667 - 5,794 USD/ton. Specifically, the delivery price for March 2025 is 5,794 USD/ton (down 23 USD/ton), the delivery price for May 2025 is 5,788 USD/ton (down 33 USD/ton), the delivery price for July 2025 is 5,740 USD/ton (down 25 USD/ton) and September 2025 is 5,667 USD/ton (down 29 USD/ton).

In contrast, at the end of the trading session, Arabica coffee prices on the New York floor continued to increase, increasing from 0.90 - 7.10 cents/lb, ranging from 408.20 - 438.90 cents/lb. Specifically, the delivery period for March 2025 was 438.90 cents/lb (up 7.10 cents/lb), the delivery period for May 2025 was 425.10 cents/lb (up 4.90 cents/lb), the delivery period for July 2025 was 408.20 cents/lb (up 0.90 cents/lb). In particular, the delivery period for September 2025 decreased to 392.10 cents/lb (down 3.80 cents/lb).

At the end of the trading session, the price of Brazilian Arabica coffee had a relatively strong decrease, recorded as follows: The delivery period for March 2025 was 523.45 USD/ton (down 5.75 USD/ton), the delivery period for May 2025 was 505.80 USD/ton (down 13.95 USD/ton), the delivery period for July 2025 increased by 515.45 USD/ton (up 1.20 USD/ton) and the delivery period for September 2025 was 480.95 USD/ton (down 11.90 USD/ton).
Robusta coffee traded on the ICE Futures Europe (London exchange) opens at 16:00 and closes at 00:30 (next day) Vietnam time. Arabica coffee traded on the ICE Futures US (New York exchange) opens at 16:15 and closes at 01:30 (next day) Vietnam time. For Arabica coffee traded on the B3 Brazil exchange, it will open from 19:00 - 02:35 (next day) Vietnam time.

Domestic coffee prices increase at an unbelievable rate
According to information from Giacaphe.com, at 4:30 a.m. today, February 14, 2025, domestic coffee prices increased sharply, at an average of 132,900 VND/kg, an increase of 2,100 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
The highest purchase price in key areas of the Central Highlands was recorded at 133,000 VND/kg. Specifically, the coffee price in Dak Lak today was 133,000 VND/kg (up 2,200 VND/kg), the coffee price in Lam Dong was 132,000 VND/kg (up 2,200 VND/kg), the coffee price in Gia Lai was 132,800 VND/kg (up 2,000 VND/kg) and the coffee price in Dak Nong today was 133,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday (up 2,000 VND/kg).
The domestic coffee prices that Giacaphe.com lists every day are calculated based on the prices of two world coffee exchanges combined with continuous surveys from businesses and purchasing agents in key coffee growing areas across the country.

The International Coffee Price Index (I-CIP) in January 2025 averaged 310.1 US cents/pound, up 3.5% month-on-month and 75.8% year-on-year. This is the highest price recorded since April 1977.
Of which, the price of Colombian Arabica coffee and other Arabica coffee increased by 3.2%, reaching 351.9 US cents/pound and 354.5 US cents/pound, respectively. The price of Brazilian Arabica coffee increased by 3.7% to 339.2 US cents/pound, while the price of Robusta coffee increased by 3.6% to 245.3 US cents/pound.
The gains were driven by arabica coffee in New York, which rose 3.8% to an average of 328.9 US cents/lb, and robusta coffee in London, which rose 3.6% to 234.3 US cents/lb. The spread between arabica and robusta widened by 4.3% to 94.6 US cents/lb, its highest since October 2022.
In Vietnam, the world's second largest coffee exporter, coffee exports in January 2025 reached 149,202 tons, down 28.1%. According to information from the Vietnam Coffee and Cocoa Association (VICOFA), this decline is considered the starting factor for the skyrocketing coffee prices in recent days, leading to a series of records in prices and export turnover. Financial investors are also pouring money into the coffee market due to high profitability, causing coffee prices to increase to unimaginable levels.
