At the groundbreaking ceremony, Chairwoman of the City Women's Union Hoang Thi Thu Huong kindly visited and shared joy with Vo Thi Hien's family for receiving support for the new construction. For many years, Hien and her children have had to live in a temporary house, and their lives are difficult, so they do not have the conditions to build a solid house.

Chairwoman of the City Women's Union Hoang Thi Thu Huong hopes that the local government and departments, branches and unions will regularly pay attention, support and urge the construction unit so that the new house can be completed soon and ensure quality. Local Women's Unions at all levels continue to mobilize women members to participate in working days, contributing to reduce construction costs, helping the house to be solid, supporting families to strive to stabilize their lives.

The City Women's Union held a groundbreaking ceremony for the project "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" and building a new house for Ms. Vo Thi Hien's family.

According to Ms. Ho Thi Lai, Vice Chairman of Hoa Tien Commune People's Committee, the locality currently has 40 households in need of repairing or building new houses, of which, phase 1 has 14 households, phase 2 has 26 households.

"In the coming time, the commune will continue to mobilize resources to support and strive to complete the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area before May 1," said Ms. Lai.

Ms. Vo Thi Hien, emotionally shared: "I am extremely happy and moved that the Women's Union has helped my family have a new, solid house. Before, every rainy and stormy season, I was afraid that the roof would collapse at any time. Now that I have a solid house, I can rest assured to do business, and my children also have a proper place to study. This is not just a roof, but a hope, a support for my family to rise up in life. Really, I don't know what to say other than thank you from the bottom of my heart!"

The groundbreaking ceremony of the project "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" is one of a series of meaningful activities to effectively implement the emulation project of the City Women's Union on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City.

The program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has both material significance and a profound humanitarian spirit in social security work. The contributions of all levels of the Women's Union, cadres and members of the Women's Union of Da Nang not only bring solid roofs, but also demonstrate the spirit of mutual love, sharing, solidarity and unanimity for a sustainable society.
