Meeting with officers and soldiers of Front 44 Quang Da

On the morning of March 19, the Liaison Committee of Front 44 of Quang Da organized a meeting with cadres and soldiers to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025). Attending the meeting were Party Central Committee member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City Nguyen Van Quang, Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang.

Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang presented flowers and congratulated the meeting.

At the meeting, nearly 1,200 comrades representing more than 6,000 veterans of the Quang Da Front 44 living all over the country together recalled the years of fighting and working in the resistance war against the US to save the country; the heroic and arduous memories, with countless feats and miracles on the Quang Da battlefield (1967-1975). The boys and girls who were eighteen or twenty years ago now have gray hair, wrinkled skin, slow legs..., but still have intact memories of a time of war and war.

In preparation for the Mau Than Spring General Offensive and Uprising in 1968, on July 1, 1967, the Standing Committee of the Zone 5 Party Committee and the Military Zone 5 Command decided to establish the Quang Da Front 44. In October 1967, the Zone 5 Party Committee decided to merge the Quang Da Provincial Party Committee and the Da Nang City Party Committee into the Quang Da Special Zone Party Committee. Since its establishment, the officers and soldiers of the Quang Da Front 44 have participated in major battles, in which thousands of people sacrificed their lives. Since the country's reunification, many comrades have grown up from the Quang Da Front 44 to become mid- and high-ranking military officers. Returning to normal life, the Veterans of Front 44 Quang Da live in all parts of the country and always promote the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers on the new front, strive to overcome difficulties, constantly develop the family economy, actively participate in building the homeland, and strive to educate patriotism and revolutionary heroism to the younger generation./.
