On April 5, Can Tho City Youth Union announced that it had just signed a cooperation program with Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union for the period 2024 - 2027.
This is an activity within the series of Traditional Activities with the theme "City Youth Union - Heroic Song of 2024" organized by the Party Committee - Veterans Association - Trade Union - Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Agency on April 4 and 5.
The signing aims to promote the pioneering spirit of the youth of the two cities, together wearing the green volunteer shirt to serve the people with specific projects and tasks, contributing to improving the effectiveness of the Youth Union and youth movements of the two cities.
Since then, young people from Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho have joined in developing the economy and society in disadvantaged areas of the provinces in the Mekong Delta region.

The youth of the two cities will coordinate to implement four main groups of tasks, including activities to accompany young people in careers and employment; and jointly implement youth volunteer programs and campaigns.
Working together towards community benefits and exchange activities, twinning, sharing experiences and skills in Youth Union work.
Notably, the social security activities will take turns coordinating to organize health check-ups and provide free medicine for at least 1,000 people in difficult circumstances in Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho City and the Western provinces.

Ms. Lu Thi Ngoc Anh - Secretary of Can Tho City Youth Union - said that the signing of the program between the two units in the period of 2024 - 2027 will help the Youth Union chapters of Can Tho City increase resources and further implement youth activities and movements.
"This is also an opportunity to increase exchanges and connect young people together to concretize the coordination program with practical projects and tasks related to reality and meeting the needs of local people," Ms. Ngoc Anh emphasized.
