Ericsson and PTIT cooperate to equip 5G knowledge for Vietnamese students

Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC), the world's leading telecommunications solutions provider, and the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) have announced a strategic partnership to equip Vietnamese students with the skills and knowledge needed to participate in and accelerate the national digital transformation process with 5G technology and other advanced digital technologies.

Ms. Rita Mokbel, Director of Ericsson Vietnam, shared: "The cooperation between Ericsson and PTIT is an important step forward in developing a highly skilled workforce, which is a key factor in Vietnam's digital transformation process. Through this partnership, Ericsson wishes to contribute to building a strong ecosystem to support Vietnam's digital future."

Under the partnership, Ericsson will provide PTIT students with the Ericsson Educate digital learning platform, opening up access to a wide range of learning resources. Ericsson will also collaborate with PTIT on research in areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and automation, while providing students with experiential learning opportunities such as participating in projects or internships. In addition, Ericsson will support the Ministry of Information and Communications in skills enhancement initiatives, preparing for the nationwide rollout of 5G.

Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hoai Bac, President of PTIT, shared: “The partnership with Ericsson will help our students access knowledge about advanced technologies such as 5G, AI, automation, Machine Learning, and many other fields, as well as receive practical experience and insights in the industry. This will help them effectively utilize these technologies as soon as they join the workforce, contributing to promoting the country on the journey towards a digital economy."
