Currently, in Bien Hoa city, there are 9 projects in the list of key projects of Dong Nai province being implemented, so the demand for resettlement plots is very large. According to the report, the whole city of Bien Hoa is lacking nearly 3,000 resettlement plots for people. Bien Hoa is also the locality with the highest resettlement debt in Dong Nai province.
The lack of resettlement areas to accommodate people whose land was recovered when implementing public investment projects in Bien Hoa city makes it difficult to mobilize people to hand over land.

In fact, recently, when implementing some projects, the issue of resettlement has not been mentioned. In many projects, after handing over the land, people have to temporarily stay. There are cases where the resettlement area has completed the infrastructure but it is not possible to let people draw lots for land locations because the construction area is not yet included in the land use plan.
Bien Hoa City Party Secretary Ho Van Nam said that local authorities and Party committees have identified resettlement for people as a key task when implementing projects, especially for key projects and works, resettlement must also be a key task.
There must be resettlement areas with full facilities to convince people to hand over the land early to implement projects. This is also a necessary condition to mobilize and convince people to hand over the land early, speeding up the construction progress of projects.

The land area formerly belonging to the Oil Company, covering thousands of square meters on Ha Huy Giap Street, Quyet Thang Ward, has now been cleared. Bien Hoa City leaders have proposed that the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee convert the construction of a resettlement area on this "golden" land to serve the relocation of people to implement projects. |
This is a land plot located on two fronts of Huy Giap Street and Nguyen Thanh Phuong Street, only about 200m from Dong Nai River. If built as a resettlement area, it will attract people to live there, because this is considered one of the most prime land plots in Bien Hoa city today. |
Another land area proposed by Bien Hoa city leaders for resettlement is the location of the Driving Test Center in Buu Long ward. This is a fairly large land area, located next to Bien Hoa airport and Tran Bien Temple of Literature, with convenient transportation. |
Bien Hoa City leaders said that if resettlement areas are implemented in the above 3 land plots, there will be about 1,000 more resettlement plots for ongoing and upcoming projects. In addition, the demand for social housing and worker housing is very high. If these 3 land plots are added, many households who have to give up their land for projects will soon have stable housing. |
Bien Hoa City is adjusting the overall master plan until 2045. During the implementation process, the relevant authorities will consider favorable locations that are easily connected to the technical infrastructure and social infrastructure systems to plan and build additional resettlement areas. The ultimate goal is to ensure the rights of people who are relocated to implement the projects. |
