According to initial information, at around 11am the same day, a fire suddenly broke out at a wooden furniture factory behind Phu Son market (Bac Son commune). Because the factory contained many flammable materials, the fire quickly spread, engulfing the entire factory area of thousands of square meters.

Many workers who were working discovered the fire and smoke and shouted to each other to run outside to escape. The column of black smoke rose dozens of meters high and could be seen from kilometers away.

However, because the factory contained many flammable materials, it was difficult to control the fire. The authorities had to split into many teams, spraying water from many directions to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby houses and factories.

By 1 p.m. the same day, the fire was basically under control but smoke was still smoldering, and authorities continued to spray water to cool it down. The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
