At a press conference announcing a series of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic relations on February 14, German Ambassador to Vietnam Helga Margarete Barth said artificial intelligence, high technology and cybersecurity are areas in which Germany wishes to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam.

Answering a question from Dan Tri reporter about cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence, Ambassador Barth said that many Vietnamese enterprises operating in the field of artificial intelligence and software development are interested in cooperating with German enterprises as service providers. The Ambassador hopes that there will be new ideas for cooperation between the two countries in this field after the upcoming election in Germany.

In addition, Ambassador Barth also said that Germany wants to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam within the framework of the United Nations and peacekeeping forces.

At the same time, the German government also wants to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in the field of vocational training, attracting more young people to study and work in Germany.

In particular, Ambassador Barth shared that Germany has many scholarship support programs, especially summer courses, for international students, including Vietnam.

"In the past, many Vietnamese people went to Germany to study. We really want to strengthen cooperation so that more young Vietnamese people can go to Germany to study and do research," the German diplomat emphasized.

Ambassador Barth emphasized that education is an important area in bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Germany. German government scholarships have been awarded to more than 1,000 Vietnamese students and researchers in many fields.

Regarding trade cooperation, Ambassador Barth said that in the coming time, some Vietnamese food products, including fish sauce, as well as electronic products will be given priority in the German market.
