The US Mission to Vietnam announced on March 10 that the IAPP program, jointly implemented by the agency with the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training and the US Institute of International Education, will last for 5 days from March 31 to April 4. Accordingly, more than 40 senior leaders from 21 US universities will participate in the survey trip to establish new cooperative relationships and strengthen academic cooperation with Vietnamese partners.
According to a statement from the US Embassy in Hanoi, the higher education delegation represents public and private US educational institutions in 17 out of 50 states, including research universities and community colleges. The delegation will explore Vietnam’s higher education system through campus visits, networking events, and meetings with government and private sector stakeholders.

US Ambassador to Vietnam Marc E. Knapper said that the IAPP is not only a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the US, but also a demonstration of the US's commitment to the comprehensive strategic partnership. By connecting the leading universities of both countries, we are opening up new opportunities for students and researchers from both countries to thrive, according to Mr. Knapper.
"Researchers from the two countries can collaborate in many STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) fields and build training programs for students," said Jason Czyz, president of the Institute of International Education.
