Tay Ninh Tourism: Great Opportunities and Potentials to Attract Tourists

Tay Ninh welcomes more than 1.4 million visitors

According to statistics from the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, from the beginning of 2025 to now, the number of tourists visiting tourist areas and spots in the province has reached more than 1.4 million, an increase of 1.4% over the same period in 2024. Notably, revenue from tourism is estimated at 1,102 billion VND, recording an impressive increase of 47% over the previous year. Not only that, the development of the tourism industry has also led to strong growth in related fields. Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage services, travel and other activities is estimated at 2,339 billion VND, an increase of 5.3% over the same period. These figures show that Tay Ninh is increasingly affirming its position as an attractive destination, attracting tourists and creating momentum for local economic development.

Tourists mainly visit Tay Ninh's key attractions such as Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area, Cao Dai Holy See and the Central Bureau of Southern Region Relics, contributing to the province's tourism industry growing beyond expectations. Unique activities rich in cultural identity have created a special attraction, making Tay Ninh an attractive destination. Notably, Ba Den Mountain continues to maintain its position as the province's tourist center, among the most attractive destinations in the country. A clear demonstration of this attraction, by March 8, Sun World Ba Den Mountain Tourist Area welcomed 2 million cable car passengers, affirming Tay Ninh's breakthrough tourism potential.

To achieve these impressive results, since the beginning of 2025, Tay Ninh tourism has proactively implemented many activities to promote growth. From promoting tourism trade abroad, to organizing special festivals on the occasion of Lunar New Year, and at the same time developing diverse types of tourism such as agricultural tourism, river tourism, traditional craft villages, entertainment and culture... In addition, Tay Ninh also coordinates with neighboring localities and the Southeast region to build attractive tours and tourist routes. In particular, the province also takes advantage of the opportunity to promote strongly through the Saigontourist Group 2025 Food and Culture Festival and promote tourism images on digital technology platforms, contributing to attracting more and more tourists.

Opportunity for Tay Ninh to break through

Tay Ninh Tourism Industry is facing an opportunity to make a stronger breakthrough when it can expand the promotion of the image of tourism, nature and people of Tay Ninh through a series of upcoming major events.

In particular, in early May 2025, within the framework of the 2025 United Nations Vesak Festival, Ba Den Mountain, Tay Ninh is expected to be chosen as a place to visit and light candles to pray for peace by more than 2,000 delegates from 80 countries and territories. The United Nations Vesak Festival is organized by the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, taking place in Ho Chi Minh City from May 6 to 8, 2025, bringing great opportunities for Tay Ninh to promote its image, people and promote tourism, economic and social development of the province.

Also in May 2025, the second Tay Ninh Vegetarian Cuisine Festival promises to become the most anticipated culinary event in the Southeast region. Taking place from May 25 to May 31, 2025, the festival will be held in an open space model at Xuan Hong Park, Tay Ninh city. This is not only an opportunity for visitors to enjoy the quintessence of unique vegetarian cuisine, but also contributes to honoring local culinary culture, creating a highlight for Tay Ninh tourism.

According to Mr. Tran Anh Minh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Tay Ninh province, the "Tay Ninh Vegetarian Cuisine Art" Festival is an activity organized to preserve and promote the value of national intangible cultural heritage; honor artisans who are preserving and promoting the unique values of Tay Ninh vegetarian cuisine; gather artisans and businesses to participate in exchanges, learn experiences in the art of vegetarian cuisine. At the same time, promote, introduce and convey the value of Tay Ninh vegetarian cuisine to the domestic and international culinary markets. In particular, at this festival, Tay Ninh will organize the establishment of a Vietnamese record for making 200 vegetarian dishes with the participation of typical vegetarian restaurants in Tay Ninh.

Also during the festival, the Linh Son Thanh Mau Festival on Ba Den Mountain - a national intangible cultural heritage - is held from the 4th to the 6th of the 5th lunar month. These events are not only an opportunity to introduce the province's tourism potential to domestic and foreign tourists, but also a driving force to promote the sustainable development of the industry, making Tay Ninh an attractive destination on the Vietnam tourism map.

In addition, to achieve the province's GRDP growth target of 10% in 2025, in the tourism sector alone, the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee determined to strive to reach 5.7 million visitors; revenue of VND 2,700 billion.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh, Acting Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, one of the province's driving forces is to promote consumption and attract domestic and foreign tourists through tourism development linkage programs with localities in the region such as connecting tourism between Tay Ninh - Binh Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh City and provinces and cities in the Southeast region.

At the same time, Tay Ninh will also focus on innovative solutions, improving the effectiveness of investment, trade and tourism promotion, building and protecting brands, ensuring standards and technical conditions, and enhancing the value of local products.
