Storms blew off the roofs of 15 houses in Van Ban and Bao Yen.

Due to the influence of high-altitude converging winds, on the night of June 2 and early morning of June 3, thunderstorms and showers occurred in some localities in the province, causing much damage to people's property, houses, and crops.

In Bao Yen district, on the night of June 2, thunderstorms and heavy rains swept through the communes of Yen Son, Minh Tan, Xuan Thuong, Cam Con, Nghia Do and Pho Rang town... causing the roofs of 9 houses to be blown off (1 house in Xuan Thuong, 1 house in Minh Tan, 3 houses in Yen Son, 3 houses in Nghia Do, 1 house in Cam Con); of which 1 house had its roof completely blown off, causing a lot of property damage.

The total damage caused by storms in Bao Yen district was initially estimated at nearly 1 billion VND.

In Van Ban district, according to information from the district People's Committee, on the night of June 2, a storm swept through the communes of Khanh Yen Thuong, Khanh Yen Ha, and Lang Giang, causing damage to property, trees, and houses. Specifically, the storm caused the roofs of 6 households to be blown off and damaged (3 houses in Khanh Yen Thuong commune, 2 houses in Lang Giang commune, and 1 house in Khanh Yen Ha); of which 1 house in Khanh Yen Thuong commune had its roof completely blown off and was severely damaged; 1 house in Lang Giang commune had its roof blown off by over 70%; and 1 motorbike was damaged. The damage to crops has not yet been counted. The initial estimated damage to property is over 100 million VND.

In addition, storms also knocked down many crops and damaged some areas of crops; heavy rain also caused landslides on some inter-village and inter-commune roads in Van Ban and Bao Yen districts. There are currently no specific statistics.

Immediately after the storms and floods, the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Bao Yen and Van Ban districts directed the People's Committees of communes and towns to mobilize local forces to help households with damaged houses repair, clean up and stabilize their lives.
