Attending the festival were leaders of the Department of Education and Training, Department of Culture - Sports and Tourism, Department of Science and Technology, Lao Cai Provincial Youth Union; leaders of People's Committees of districts, towns and cities; universities and colleges in and outside the province... and more than 2,000 students of secondary and high schools in the province.

In recent years, the work of student orientation and career guidance, especially for grade 9 and grade 12 students in Lao Cai province, has had positive changes, such as: the rate of junior high school and high school graduates studying vocational courses at all levels has increased; the rate of dropouts has gradually decreased. The quality of vocational education basically meets the needs of society; focusing on training in the fields of tourism, services, construction industry, agriculture and forestry. The rate of trained workers is over 70%, the rate of workers with jobs after vocational training is over 80%.
However, the rate of junior high school and high school graduates dropping out of school and working directly is still high (junior high school is 9.21%; high school is 23.25%); the rate of junior high school graduates participating in vocational training at all levels has increased but is still low compared to the national average. The province's target of vocational training at all levels by 2025 of 35 - 40% has not been achieved.
To achieve the goal of mobilizing the maximum number of junior high school and high school graduates to study at all levels according to Decision 2567/QD-UBND dated August 19, 2019 of the People's Committee of Lao Cai province, the Department of Education and Training has implemented many solutions, including organizing career orientation days, streaming, and provincial enrollment.

Participating in the festival were 20 booths of universities, colleges, study abroad consulting centers, businesses inside and outside the province, with many rich activities, such as: introducing activities, levels, training forms; showing simulation videos about careers; consulting on admission, recruitment...
By participating in the festival, students and parents had their questions answered about examination methods, admissions and vocational training, thereby better understanding the fields of study to make decisions on choosing a career that suits their interests, abilities and family conditions.

Also at the festival, Hung Yen University of Technical Education donated TestPro 2025 software worth 40 million VND to 3 schools in Lao Cai province, including exam grading software for schools and exam mixing software for each teacher ( photo above ).
