According to information from the People's Committee of Ban Cai commune, Bac Ha district, early this morning (April 13), there was thunderstorms causing flooding in the commune.
The flood caused landslides on the road from Nam Ton bridge to the commune center, with rocks and soil spilling onto the road, cutting off traffic.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Vang Seo San, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ban Cai Commune, said that heavy rains had damaged some items of the Nam Luc Hydropower Plant and caused mud and soil from landslide areas in the 2024 flood to flow down and bury a section of Provincial Road 160 from Bac Ha to Bao Yen.
Currently, traffic from Bao Nhai and Coc Lau communes to Ban Cai commune is cut off. The maintenance unit is clearing rocks and soil to clear the road and ensure traffic.

According to Mr. Tran Xuan Hien, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction: Through preliminary assessment, the flood in the early morning of April 13 caused landslides on the positive and negative slopes at nearly 10 locations from Km64+700, Provincial Road 160, with a total length of about 200 m, causing complete traffic congestion. Immediately after receiving the information, the Department of Construction mobilized 3 excavators and workers to fix the landslide.
