The province has put into operation the project to build an urban development axis road from Tuyen Quang city to the center of Yen Son district; Bach Xa bridge, Ham Yen district; Xuan Van bridge, Yen Son district; started construction of Ho Chi Minh road, Cho Chu - Trung Son intersection section. The Provincial People's Committee has held meetings to remove difficulties and obstacles for 45 projects; adjusted investment policies for 21 projects.

According to the report, in the third quarter and the first 9 months of 2024, the province's socio-economic situation achieved some positive results. Of which, the output of nuts reached 320,000 tons, equal to 94% of the plan; the value of industrial production and the output of some industrial products increased compared to the same period, reaching nearly 18,000 billion VND, 75.2% of the plan, up 115.8% over the same period; afforestation exceeded the set plan, reaching 110% of the plan; state budget revenue reached 3,061 billion VND, reaching 79.3% of the plan. Tuyen Quang is one of the bright spots of the country in terms of economic growth rate.
However, in recent times, Tuyen Quang is one of the provinces that has been heavily affected in terms of people and property, especially agricultural production, service facilities, tourism, traffic infrastructure, irrigation works, etc. caused by storm No. 3. According to preliminary statistics, the total estimated value of property damage is up to thousands of billions of VND. Of which, damage to housing is over 593 billion VND; education is over 850 billion VND; health care is over 50 billion VND; agriculture, forestry and fishery is over 89.6 billion VND, irrigation is 442 billion VND; clean water and environmental sanitation is 552 billion VND; transportation is over 160 billion VND; communications is 2.4 billion VND; industry is 1.8 billion VND...
The above damages have directly affected the socio-economic development of the province in all fields, so the growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the province in the third quarter and the first 9 months of 2024 did not reach the growth scenario; some indicators decreased or were low.

The impact of Storm No. 3 greatly affects the province's socio-economic development in 2024. According to the report of the Department of Planning and Investment, the growth rate in the fourth quarter is forecast to decrease, leading to the possibility that the growth rate for the whole year will be lower than the growth scenario set for 2024 with a growth rate (GRDP) of 9.02% over the same period in 2023.
The immediate task of all levels, sectors and localities in the province is to urgently overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, quickly stabilize the people's situation, promote the recovery of production and business, actively promote economic growth, and control inflation well. Comrade Hoang Anh Cuong, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said: This year, the whole industry will strive to complete the industrial production value of 23,730 billion. The recent storm No. 3 reduced the industrial production value by about 30 billion VND. Based on the forecast, the industry will continue to strive to ensure the completion of the plan for all 3 targets on production value, export and total retail sales of goods. From now until the end of the year, efforts will be made to implement solutions to quickly put 13 new industrial production projects into operation.
The agriculture, forestry and fishery sector is the sector most heavily affected by storm No. 3. According to Mr. Nguyen Dai Thanh, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the statistics of damage caused by storm No. 3 must continue to be carried out. Up to 50% of aquaculture households were affected; food output is estimated to have decreased by 34,183 tons of food, equal to 1/10 of the province's annual output. The task in the coming time is for the sector to coordinate with the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to quickly deploy disbursement of seed support for farmers. Along with that, quickly implement solutions to repair and overcome works affected by floods, including some dikes, bridges, clean water... The goal is to implement what people need most first, especially traffic connections, areas at risk of landslides, housing, rice, clean water...
According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Lam, Director of the Department of Transport, in the first 9 months of the year, the transport sector faced difficulties due to storms affecting the progress of construction works. However, the last months of the year are the golden time to accelerate. The sector will continue to implement synchronous solutions to speed up the construction of transport works, especially for the Tuyen Quang - Ha Giang expressway, the Son Duong district bypass, the road from My Lam mineral spring tourist area to National Highway 2D connecting with the Tuyen Quang - Phu Tho expressway, implementing the Project on building rural roads and bridges on rural roads, ... striving to disburse the highest level of allocated investment capital.
Speaking at the regular September meeting of the Provincial People's Committee, Comrade Nguyen Van Son, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: This is an important time of the year, in order to complete the annual plan, the leaders of departments, branches and localities must make every effort to fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
