(CLO) On February 21, in Ho Chi Minh City, Dak Lak province held a press conference about the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025, with the theme "Buon Ma Thuot - Destination of world coffee".
Accordingly, the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in 2025 is a practical activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Buon Ma Thuot victory and the liberation of Dak Lak province (March 10, 1975 - March 10, 2025).
This is also an important event, contributing to promoting the Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand, building the image of Buon Ma Thuot city as "Coffee City of the World". Thereby contributing to enhancing the position of the Vietnamese coffee industry in the international arena, promoting the socio-economic development and tourism of Dak Lak province.

In addition, this festival also aims to honor coffee growers, processors and traders; introduce the tourism potential of Dak Lak province, promote investment in the field of coffee and agricultural products; introduce and promote the traditional culture of ethnic minorities, especially the Central Highlands Gong culture space - an oral masterpiece and intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Speaking at the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha - Permanent Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Festival said that coffee is an agricultural product that plays a very important role in socio-economic life, providing a source of livelihood for people, especially people in the Central Highlands in general and Dak Lak province in particular.

Buon Ma Thuot is known as the coffee capital of Vietnam, with the largest area and coffee output in the country, with an area of about 210,000 hectares, annual output reaching more than 520,000 tons, accounting for more than 30% of the national output. Coffee from Dak Lak province has been exported to hundreds of countries and territories around the world, always playing an important role in socio-economic development.
