Breakthrough to the finish line ahead of schedule
2024 is a breakthrough year to complete the 5-year Plan 2021 - 2025 of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) in general and EVNGENCO1 in particular. However, this is also the year EVNGENCO1 has to face many difficulties and challenges, especially Typhoon Yagi which has severely affected the operations of a number of power plants.
The Party Committee of the Corporation has directed to focus on all solutions to practice thrift and combat waste in production, business activities - investment, construction, safe and effective operation of power plants, contributing significantly with EVN to ensure sufficient electricity supply to serve the country's socio-economic development and people's daily life.
Thanks to the consensus and solidarity to overcome difficulties, the Corporation has basically completed the set targets. The total electricity output of EVNGENCO1 in 2024 is about 32,604 billion kWh, reaching 104.2% of the plan. The volume of construction investment and disbursement value of EVNGENCO1 also reached 105% of the plan.
EVNGENCO1 is always active and proactive in implementing social security activities, with a total implementation value of over 20 billion VND, with outstanding activities such as: building many solidarity houses for disadvantaged families; building and repairing schools; overcoming the consequences of natural disasters...
Ensuring electricity supply, basically becoming a digital enterprise
In 2025, the entire EVNGENCO1 Party Committee will implement the Congress plan for the 2025-2030 term, towards the 14th National Party Congress. This is also the year to complete the 5-year Plan 2021-2025.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Khoa, Chairman of the Board of Members of EVNGENCO1, said that all officers and employees of the Corporation will unite, be creative, and strive to successfully complete the tasks of 2025. In particular, the focus is on ensuring safe, stable, and continuous power production operations of generators and meeting the mobilization requirements of the system; ensuring sufficient fuel supply for power production; ensuring the completion of investment preparation work for projects serving production and business activities; continuing to research and promote investment in new power source projects according to approved plans...
To complete the assigned electricity output of 37,555 billion kWh in 2025, EVNGENCO1 will focus on doing a good job of maintenance and repair, and implementing construction investment according to the approved schedule.
Hydropower units coordinate well with localities, use water resources economically and effectively, and closely follow reservoir operation procedures. Thermal power units are proactive and flexible in negotiating coal supply contracts.
In addition to successfully completing production, business, and construction investment tasks, EVNGENCO1 also strives to basically become a digital enterprise by 2025, while continuing to effectively implement social security work and fulfill its corporate responsibility to the community.
