The Netherlands had almost all of their best players in training today, July 30. Striker Lineth Beerensteyn returned to training after suffering an ankle injury in the match against Portugal. She had to use crutches to move around and missed the match against the US team.
However, hospital tests showed that Beerensteyn did not suffer a serious injury. She began training with her own training program on Friday (July 28). Beerensteyn is replacing Vivianne Miedema. The Arsenal star did not participate in the World Cup due to a knee injury.
Netherlands 1-1 USA.
The Dutch team also received good news from Stefanie van der Gragt and Victoria Pelova. These two players fell ill after the match against the US team and had to follow special care procedures to avoid infecting their teammates. They ate and drank separately and no one was allowed to enter their rooms.
The Dutch national team's defender duo practiced part of today's training session. Although it is not certain that they will play, the return of the three players above is a positive sign for the Dutch team.

The Netherlands are currently second in Group E, tied with the US on 4 points but behind on goal difference. If they want to compete for the top spot in the group, coach Andries Jonker and his team must beat Vietnam by a landslide.
The match between Vietnam and the Netherlands will take place at 2:00 p.m. on August 1 (Vietnam time) at Forsyth Barr Stadium. At the same time, the US and Portugal will face off at Eden Park.
