Before the 20-day training trip in Germany and Poland, the Vietnam Women's Football Team had a friendly meeting with officials and staff of the German Embassy in Hanoi.
On June 1, the German Embassy in Hanoi organized a meeting and friendly exchange with "special" guests, the Vietnam Women's Football Team.
At the meeting, Deputy Ambassador Simon Kreye congratulated the team on qualifying for the first time to participate in the Women's World Cup Finals and was delighted that the team would go to Germany to train in preparation for the 2023 Women's World Cup.
Head coach Mai Duc Chung and national team captain Huynh Nhu represented the team to express their gratitude for the warm feelings and thoughtful reception of the Embassy and commented that the German team is a team with the top level in the world, so the Vietnamese team hopes to learn a lot from the friendly match with the German team.
The highlight of the event was a goal kicking competition between the female players and members of the Embassy. The accurate kicks of the female players brought exciting prizes, such as motorbike helmets with the logo of the German Embassy.
At the end of the meeting, the officials and staff of the German Embassy in Hanoi wished the Vietnam Women's Football Team a good training period in Germany and many successes in the 2023 Women's Football World Cup campaign.
The Vietnam Women's Football Team will participate in the Women's World Cup held from July 20 to August 20 in Australia and New Zealand. To prepare for the Women's World Cup Finals, the Team will train in Germany and Poland from June 5, 2023 to June 24, 2023 and will have some training matches there.
The friendly match with the German Women's Football Team will take place on June 24, 2023 in Offenbach on the Main River./.
