The patriotic emulation movement "Exemplary war veterans" of Quang Nam province in the period of 2019 - 2024, associated with the patriotic emulation movement of the province, has been innovated and developed in terms of content, form and implementation measures. Thereby, it has made an important contribution to the completion of key political tasks in the association's work and the tasks assigned by the local Party Committee.
Through the movement, patriotism has been aroused, encouraging and motivating cadres and members of the Veterans Association to uphold the spirit of self-reliance, solidarity, and setting an example in helping each other develop the economy, escape poverty, and strive to become rich legitimately.
Up to now, the number of poor households among War Veterans Association members in the whole province has decreased to 1,483/34,789 households (accounting for 4.26%); well-off and rich households account for 58.6%...
Over the past 5 years, the association has mobilized cadres and members to contribute more than 7 billion VND and participate in 121,220 working days, building 38,720km of rural roads.
Notably, 128 members in districts, towns and cities voluntarily donated 138,252 square meters of garden and residential land to build rural roads, schools, medical stations...
During the period of 2019 - 2024, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association and the People's Committee of Quang Nam province awarded 11 excellent emulation flags and 28 certificates of merit to the Provincial Veterans Association and the Veterans Associations of districts, towns and cities;
There were 269 communal-level War Veterans Association collectives and individuals awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial War Veterans Association and hundreds of grassroots War Veterans Associations and cadres and members were awarded at all levels.
Emulation movements must be substantial and effective.

In order for the patriotic emulation movement "Exemplary war veterans" in all levels of the association to continue to change strongly, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Duc Dung requested the Provincial War Veterans Association to continue to promote the nature and fine traditions of Uncle Ho's Army in leading and directing all levels of the association and war veteran members to effectively implement the targets and tasks set forth by the 7th Emulation Congress.
At the same time, promote the association's core role in raising vigilance and fighting against erroneous viewpoints and plots to sabotage the Party, State and regime by hostile and reactionary forces.

Lieutenant General Khuat Viet Dung - Vice President of the Vietnam Veterans Association requested the Quang Nam Provincial Veterans Association to focus on performing well the association's top important political task of participating in building and protecting the Party, government, and national great unity bloc; contributing to maintaining political stability and social order and safety at the grassroots level.

At the 7th Patriotic Emulation Congress of "Exemplary War Veterans" in Quang Nam province, delegates unanimously introduced 6 comrades to attend the Patriotic Emulation Congress of "Exemplary War Veterans" of the Vietnam War Veterans Association for the period 2024 - 2029 and to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam War Veterans Association (December 6, 1989 - December 6, 2024).
In order to recognize the outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Exemplary War Veterans" for the period 2019 - 2024, the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam War Veterans Association awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag to the Provincial War Veterans Association and awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 District-level War Veterans Associations;
The Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 5 individuals; the Executive Committee of the Provincial Veterans Association awarded 24 collectives and 50 individuals of the District-level Veterans Association, the affiliated CCB Association (487) and the Provincial Veterans Association's agencies.
On the occasion of the Congress, the Provincial Association of War Veterans awarded funding to support the construction of 7 "Houses of Comradeship" (60 million VND/house).
