On the evening of November 5, at Hoa Binh Theater, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City, the International Contemporary Dance Festival (X POSITION 'O' 2023) took place.

The festival is an art activity to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Singapore, co-organized by Saigon Contemporary and Ballet Dance Company - SCBC, in collaboration with Odysseys Theatre Singapore and Bong Sen Traditional Music and Dance Theatre.
The festival includes a series of unique activities and events on contemporary dance with 4 nights of performance in Singapore, Hoi An City and Ho Chi Minh City. During the performance night in Ho Chi Minh City, X POSITION 'O' 2023 presented the audience with a sophisticated, richly resonant artistic picture, expressing the harmony between contemporary dance and traditional folk dance with two unique works Silence Of Solitude and Yen Lam.
In particular, Yen Lam is a contemporary folk dance that carries the meaning of a journey to preserve the original culture and integration, revolving around the story of family, clearly depicting a vivid overall picture of the spiritual life and cultural values of the people of the South. The dance work is imbued with folk colors through music, costumes and traditional dance art, all in harmony with contemporary sounds.
In addition to the art performances, the art space of X POSITION 'O' 2023 also has exhibition areas and interaction areas with artists for audiences who love contemporary dance art.
Representative of SCBC Vietnam, director Dao Minh Vu shared: “The X POSITION 'O' 2023 International Contemporary Dance Festival wishes to present the audience with high-quality performances, with international cultural exchange. This year's festival will feature performances and exchanges by famous dance artists such as: Danny Tan - Artistic Director of Odyssey Dance Theatre; choreographer Huynh Doan Trinh - Bong Sen Traditional Music and Dance Theatre; choreographer Ha Thanh Hau; dancer - choreographer Do Hai Anh, Creative Director of SCBC Vietnam”.
After the performance in Ho Chi Minh City, the X POSITION 'O' 2023 festival will continue to expand its scope and scale with the participation of more than 40 international art companies and 550 artists. The festival will continue its international tours and cultural exchanges in many countries and territories around the world such as: Germany, Italy, Korea, Taiwan (China), Thailand, Singapore...
