On October 5, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) in collaboration with AEON Vietnam Co., Ltd. (AEON Vietnam) organized the opening ceremony of the "Vietnam Enterprise Product Exhibition Week 2023".
Mr. Tran Phu Lu - Director of ITPC said that Japan has been Vietnam's leading economic and trade partner in recent years. Trade exchange between Vietnam and Japan has been relatively balanced, sustainable and growing steadily. Bilateral trade turnover in 2022 reached nearly 50 billion USD. Of which, Vietnam exported 24.2 billion USD to Japan and imported 23.4 billion USD from Japan. Currently, Japan is the 4th largest trading partner and the 3rd largest export partner of Vietnam. In the first 8 months of 2023 alone, the import-export turnover between Vietnam and Japan is estimated at 29.1 billion USD.
In order to support businesses in expanding their product consumption markets, since the beginning of 2023, ITPC has implemented many product exhibition week programs, trade connection conferences to promote the introduction of Vietnamese businesses' goods into commercial centers and modern distribution systems.

“Vietnam Enterprise Product Exhibition Week” is a series of annual trade promotion activities to create opportunities to promote cooperation between AEON Group and Vietnamese enterprises with products that meet quality standards, ensure food hygiene and safety and have reputable brands.
The program hopes to bring Vietnamese branded products and goods to domestic and international consumers through the AEON supermarket chain. At the same time, it also creates opportunities for businesses to evaluate product quality, grasp consumer trends to orient production appropriately, gradually improve product quality and competitiveness, aiming to export to the Japanese market and markets with high quality product requirements.
According to Mr. Tran Phu Lu, the week attracted more than 210 businesses to register to participate, of which 34 businesses met the evaluation criteria and were selected to display and introduce. The criteria of "safety, new products, regional characteristics - tradition" were especially focused on in selecting products for display. Products displayed include packaged and processed foods such as: Tea, coffee, spices, confectionery, dried agricultural products; products beneficial to health; agricultural products including: Rice, vegetables, tubers, fruits, fruits, prioritizing organic products...
“The product exhibition and business connection week with AEON will be a positive channel, helping to support the business community to grow and develop; creating conditions for businesses to produce high-quality and competitive products and services. At the same time, it will help businesses promote their products, expand their consumption markets, connect with domestic and foreign trade partners and distribution systems,” Mr. Tran Phu Lu emphasized.
Mr. Takeuchi Takashi - Deputy General Director of Office Division - AEON Vietnam said that AEON Vietnam is committed to not only providing quality products but also actively contributing to sustainable development, promoting the economy through retail activities as well as programs to accompany and support manufacturers and suppliers.
In addition, AEON Vietnam also wants to find more manufacturing and processing partners for AEON TOPVALU private label products, in order to bring customers "featured products", focusing on product groups serving the healthy living trend.
In the future, the unit will continue to carry out its mission of improving the lifestyle of customers, contributing to the socio-economic development of Vietnam through retail business activities, as well as activities to accompany suppliers, partners and state agencies to become a bridge towards the sustainable development of Vietnam.
