Conference "Partners promoting digital transformation of Vietnamese enterprises 2023".
This is a remarkable result from the efforts, aspirations for change and growth of businesses, the effective support of the entire political system from central to local levels, of associations and industries in supporting and promoting digital transformation of businesses.
“ However, these results are still quite modest. Enterprises, especially small and medium enterprises, are still facing many difficulties and limitations in the digital transformation process. The Department of Enterprise Development hopes to hear from partner agencies, which are also units that support enterprises, to have specific strategies and more in-depth support plans for enterprises in the upcoming period of 2024-2025 ,” said Mr. Trung.
Mr. Dennis Quennet - Director of Sustainable Economic Development Projects, German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ) in Vietnam affirmed that dual transformation is an inevitable international trend to combine green transformation and digital transformation towards sustainable development.
GIZ is actively and strongly supporting Vietnam in the green and digital transformation process. At the same time, we hope to continue to accompany the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the private sector in the digital transformation journey.
Mr. Dennis Quennet has high expectations for Vietnam's digital transformation efforts.
“ Through collaborative efforts involving stakeholders, both public and private, I am certain that the important goal of digital transformation will be gradually realized in Vietnam ,” Mr. Dennis Quennet expected.
A representative of the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) also shared VNPT's experience in digital transformation for small and medium-sized enterprises. VNPT believes that digital transformation is a journey with many difficulties, requiring unity and synergy of the entire enterprise.
In the first stage, businesses need to convert data into digital form (digitization), then businesses apply digital technology to their product manufacturing process. From here, businesses can apply digital data to create new business models and values.
Ms. Dang Thuy Trang - External Relations Director of Grab Vietnam shared her experience that by using simple online tools, small and medium-sized businesses can open online stores on the platform. Reach new user groups quickly, widely, at optimal costs, thereby generating additional revenue.
Digital transformation is increasingly impacting small and medium-sized enterprises around the world and becoming an inevitable trend. To become a digital enterprise, and to take advantage of the opportunities of the 4.0 industrial revolution, Vietnamese enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, need to constantly change and innovate.
