On June 7, the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC) coordinated with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Vietnam and the Office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Ho Chi Minh City to organize a conference on information technology and telecommunications between Poland and Vietnam.

The activity took place during the visit of a delegation of Polish information technology enterprises to Vietnam to seek business partners.
At the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Tuan, Deputy Director of ITPC, shared that at the local level, trade relations between Ho Chi Minh City and Poland have had encouraging developments. Two-way trade turnover in 2022 reached 270 million USD, an increase of 8% over the same period in 2021. As of March 2023, Ho Chi Minh City had 10 Polish projects with a total investment of more than 469,044 USD, ranking 64th out of 117 countries and territories.
Poland is currently Vietnam's number one trading partner in Central Eastern Europe, and Vietnam is Poland's fourth largest trading partner in Asia. Over the past two years, despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, economic and trade cooperation between the two countries has continued to maintain positive growth momentum, with two-way trade turnover in 2021 and 2022 reaching a record of over 2.5 billion USD. In the first four months of 2023 alone, trade between the two countries reached over 841 million USD.
Particularly for new fields such as information technology, Poland is still in the process of looking for partners and cooperation opportunities with Vietnam. The total import-export turnover in the first 4 months of 2023 of computers, electronic products and components reached nearly 236.34 million USD, which is also the item with the largest export proportion from Vietnam to Poland.
At the same time, in Europe, Poland is currently one of the leading countries in the digital transformation process with the application of many related integrated software such as electronic citizens, electronic medical records, financial management, banking and currency, etc.
