Mr. Vu Hong Thanh, Chairman of the National Assembly Economic Committee, led a working delegation to inspect the Long Thanh International Airport project (Long Thanh airport); the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway construction investment project phase 1 and the implementation of the National Assembly's Resolutions on socio-economic development in Dong Nai province. Also attending was Deputy Minister of Transport Le Anh Tuan.

The delegation inspected the Long Thanh airport construction site; Loc An - Binh Son resettlement area; Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway construction site; T1 road construction site; Long Duc resettlement area (resettlement for people giving up land to build Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway).
At Long Thanh airport, reporting to the working delegation, a representative of Vietnam Airports Corporation (ACV) said that the construction of the entire project, including the terminal and runway - apron, has started since early September. The entire site for project implementation has also been handed over by the locality since August 25.
At the Loc An - Binh Son resettlement area, the delegation visited the construction site of primary and secondary schools and markets. Deputy Minister Le Anh Tuan said that schools need to plant many large trees to create shade for students when they go to school. Mr. Vu Hong Thanh asked construction units to speed up the construction progress so that students can soon have a new, spacious school.
"Schools must be built quickly so students can go to school, and markets must be completed quickly so people can shop more easily," Mr. Thanh emphasized.
At the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, when the delegation arrived, there were some machines working on the construction site. The delegates requested the functional units to speed up the site clearance to serve the project.

Particularly when inspecting the Long Duc resettlement area, serving residents who gave up land to build the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, Mr. Vu Hong Thanh said that the actual resettlement should be completed first so that people have a place to live when the land is handed over. However, through the actual survey, it was found that the resettlement area was still messy in all categories.
According to Mr. Thanh, the locality should request a mechanism to increase human resources to support large projects in order to speed up project progress. Regarding this issue, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, acting Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, said that the locality has a policy of temporary residence for people whose land is recovered to serve the projects.

"If there is no resettlement land, the locality will support people to temporarily reside for 5 months, in which each month the rent per household is 3 million VND. After 5 months, if there is still no resettlement, the temporary residence will be extended. Many Dong Nai projects started a bit slowly but the acceleration and finishing stages are fast," Mr. Duc emphasized.

Regarding human resources, Mr. Duc said that recently Dong Nai mobilized officials from departments and localities without projects to support the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway and Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, Dong Nai also established a separate Compensation and Site Clearance Board to serve the projects. It is known that in the afternoon of the same day, the delegation continued to work with the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee and related units at the headquarters of the Long Thanh District Party Committee of Dong Nai.
