The first hollow slab girder span of the major intersection on the coastal road connecting Lien Chieu port has been completed by Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company.


In the first days of 2025, the construction site of the coastal road project connecting Lien Chieu Port (Da Nang) still experienced prolonged cold rains. However, hundreds of engineers and workers of Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company (HHV) were still highly focused day and night to speed up important items that were less affected by the weather, especially bridge projects.

The weather at night is cold and windy, but at the construction site of the coastal road connecting Lien Chieu port, engineers and workers of Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment Joint Stock Company still maintain a very urgent construction pace.

"Currently, the contractor has officially completed pouring concrete for the first hollow slab T4T-T5T girder span at the intersection of the first route - Main route overpass.

This is a step that marks initial success and affirms HHV's capacity in implementing complex traffic projects," said Mr. Vo Ngoc Trung, Deputy General Director of HHV.

According to Mr. Trung, the construction process of the railway crossing at the beginning of the route encountered many difficulties due to traffic conditions of the railway, road, and service road intersections.

To ensure progress, labor safety and traffic safety, HHV has proactively coordinated with local authorities to protect traffic flow through the construction site.

"At the project, HHV applied hollow plate girder technology - a modern and advanced technology in road and bridge construction, which helps to significantly reduce weight compared to conventional reinforced concrete girders.

The advantage of applying this technology is that it allows the construction of longer girder spans, saves materials, reduces costs, has high aesthetics, and creates a modern and impressive beauty for the project," said Mr. Trung, adding that the choice to use hollow plate girders not only demonstrates a methodical investment, aiming for economic efficiency, but also demonstrates the strategic vision of the investor in applying advanced technology to key traffic projects.

Contractor for concrete construction of hollow slab T4T-T5T girder spans at the intersection of the first route - main route overpass of the coastal road project connecting Lien Chieu port.

According to the contractor representative, up to now, the construction output of the entire project has reached about 50% of the contract value.

Of which, the canal bridge and overpass at the beginning of the route reached 49.5%, Lien Chieu bridge reached 51.5%, and the overpass at the end of the route reached more than 72%.

The coastal road project connecting Lien Chieu Port is nearly 3km long. The starting point connects with the road outside Lien Chieu Port. The end point intersects with the Nam Hai Van - Tuy Loan bypass.

The route is invested in a scale of 6 lanes, with a total investment of more than 1,200 billion VND, starting construction in September 2023, expected to be completed and put into use in 2025.
