During the filming process, Marvel and Disney kept the script a secret. They only informed the actors that this was a big and important battle, with the appearance of the main actors in The Marvels. The action cast was required to have good weapon fighting skills, avoiding causing injury to the actors. Due to his busy work schedule, Tien Hoang could not arrange to go to the cinema to watch the movie, and he also did not know exactly which part of the blockbuster his image was in.

Tien Hoang said he had worked with the martial arts director of The Marvels, and was trusted by him to join the film. That time was after the pandemic in 2021, Hoang had just returned to England from Vietnam. While other martial arts actors went through a rigorous live casting round, he was lucky to be chosen directly for the film.

The big scene involved over 100 actors, including main characters, supporting characters, and extras. Even though it was just one scene, the filming took nearly six months at a studio in England, not including the preparation and rehearsal time beforehand. Because this was an important scene, the producers wanted to do it carefully and meticulously.

The film set is a two-hour drive from home, so Tien Hoang rented a hotel near the filming location for convenience. Because the cast was so large, the makeup process took a lot of time. The Vietnamese actor usually arrived at 5am to prepare for work two hours later. His eyes alone took about 30 minutes to paint.

He said that his and the action actors' costumes were eye-catching on the outside but a bit tight and stuffy. Combined with the hats, their actions were sometimes hindered. However, each costume was tailored to fit each actor, so changing was quite simple.

Not being the first time participating in a Hollywood film, Tien Hoang is used to meeting the world's top stars on set. He confided: "I just greet them normally and let them work. Because the set has a lot of work and they need to focus on the scene in the script. I also need to focus on doing my job well."

Like previous times, Hoang considers the opportunity to participate in The Marvels as an opportunity to develop his action-martial arts skills and learn international filmmaking and filmmaking techniques. He advised domestic audiences that if they go to the cinema to watch the film, they can pay attention to the Vietnamese names appearing in the end credits.

Tien Hoang was born in 1993 in Hanoi. At the age of 11, he moved with his family to London, England to settle down. In 2009, Tien Hoang studied Shaolin martial arts in England. The opportunity to become an action actor came to him three years later.

After the mass roles, Tien Hoang gradually had more prominent supporting roles, acting more in the blockbuster series Doctor Strange, Ready Player One, Star Wars: Han Solo, The Covenant, The Witcher... He was praised by "Doctor Strange" Benedict Cumberbatch, had the opportunity to collaborate with "Superman" Henry Cavill and Brokeback Mountain star - Jake Gyllenhal.

During the social distancing period in early 2020, Tien Hoang became widely known in Vietnam when videos of him performing martial arts and reenacting films by Donnie Yen and Ngo Kinh went viral online. At the same time, he received his first leading role in the Vietnamese film Martial Arts War .

During this time, Tien Hoang is in Ho Chi Minh City to exchange more experience in making action films with the stunt teams he has worked with. If there is a suitable domestic project, he will participate, while maintaining his work abroad.

The Marvels continues the story of part one, telling the adventures of Captain Marvel and two other superheroes - Monica Rambeau and Ms Marvel. They form the Marvel team to explore the wormhole related to the blue-skinned Kree. The film features Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris, Iman Vellani, Park Seo Joon...
