According to GadgetMatch , after the huge success of the blockbuster game Marvel's Spider-Man 2 , it's no surprise that Insomniac Games has plans to develop more games in the Marvel universe. In fact, some of those games have been leaked not too long ago. Notably, one of the most anticipated games on that list - a game said to be in the Spider-Verse - will not be released.
Spider-Verse is one of the most fascinating stories about Peter Parker and the various Spider-Man variations in different universes. Last year, the famous animated film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was released. According to leaked information at that time, Insomniac Games was also developing a game revolving around the story of this film.
A Spider-Verse game has reportedly been canceled by Insomniac Games
However, a new leak suggests that the game has been canceled. On Reddit, a concept trailer has appeared revealing a game that was supposed to be released under the name Marvel's Spider-Man: The Great Web , which was supposed to be a massively multiplayer online game inspired by the Spider-Verse story.
The trailer shows hero Peter Parker teaming up with several other Spider-Men to fight the Sinister Six. These heroes include Parker, Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen and Spider-Man 2099.
While most leaks are just for reference, the leaked trailer is pretty impressive. It features costumes that players have seen before, but also new moves that have never been seen before. The trailer even features voice acting from Yuri Lowenthal.

While the trailer suggests the game has been canceled, there's still a chance that a Spider-Verse game could be released in the future. The cancellation is understandable, as Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League didn't do as well as expected, and developing another live-service superhero game would certainly be difficult.
