The Naval Region 2 Command has just held a conference to review the implementation of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army.

Attending and directing the conference were Rear Admiral Pham Van Quang, Deputy Chief of Naval Politics. Colonel Vu Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of Region 2 chaired the conference. Also attending were Rear Admiral Nguyen Anh Tuan, Commander of the Region; representatives of the functional agencies of the Naval Political Department; heads of the Region Command; commanders of agencies, units and comrades working in personnel work of the Region.

Since 1999, Party committees and commanders at all levels in Region 2 have thoroughly grasped and seriously implemented resolutions, directives, conclusions, regulations and rules of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and documents guiding the implementation of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army.

The Party Committee of Region 2 has developed and issued regulations on leadership of personnel work through congresses, promptly amending and supplementing when there are instructions or changes in organization, staffing, etc.

Based on the opinions expressed, the conference unanimously recommended that competent authorities continue to research, develop and implement the new salary table for officers in the spirit of Resolution No. 27-NQ/TW dated May 21, 2018.

Speaking at the Conference, Rear Admiral Pham Van Quang acknowledged and commended the achievements of Region 2 in implementing the Law on Officers and documents guiding the implementation of the Law on Officers in recent times.

The Deputy Chief of Naval Politics requested: The Unit continues to study, thoroughly understand and effectively implement the Law; detect difficulties and inadequacies and request competent authorities to synthesize and propose additions to the Law and sub-Law documents in accordance with the characteristics and tasks of the Army in general and the Navy in particular to create the most favorable conditions for cadres at all levels in the coming time, contributing to the successful implementation of assigned tasks.
