Runner-up Dao Thi Hien affirmed that she is still the first runner-up of Miss World Vietnam 2023 after being eliminated from the preliminary round of the Miss Vietnam 2024 contest.

On the evening of March 21, runner-up Dao Thi Hien spoke out for the first time when social media spread information that she was eliminated from the preliminary round of Miss Vietnam 2024. The beauty born in 2001 said: "In the past few days, some individuals and organizations have posted false information about me on social media sites. The first information is that I stopped at the preliminary round of Miss Vietnam 2024 because I had porcelain teeth; the second information is that I was stripped of the title and crown of 1st runner-up Miss World Vietnam 2023. I affirm that these are two false pieces of information about me."

According to runner-up Dao Thi Hien, regarding the reason why she stopped at the preliminary round of Miss Vietnam 2024, she will immediately notify the beauty-loving community when there is official information from the contest's Organizing Committee. The beauty from Nghe An also affirmed that she is still the 1st runner-up of Miss World Vietnam 2023. "Publishing false images and news about me like that has affected my honor and image, affecting the image of the Miss World Vietnam contest".

However, in the list of Top 41 contestants entering the final round of Miss Vietnam 2024 announced by the contest's Organizing Committee, Dao Thi Hien's name was not included, immediately causing the online community to make conflicting speculations.

At the press conference for the final round of the contest held in Hanoi on the morning of March 20, the representative of the Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam 2024 answered questions about Dao Thi Hien - 1st Runner-up of Miss World Vietnam 2023 being eliminated in the preliminary round. "Each contest has its own criteria, we respect and thank the contestants who have received high awards in other contests but still continue to apply for Miss Vietnam 2024. However, whether a person continues or stops is based on the criteria and evaluation of the Jury and the Organizing Committee of the contest. We regret that Dao Thi Hien was not able to enter the final round", said the representative of the Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam 2024.

Dao Thi Hien (born in 2001) is 1.75m tall with measurements of 88-62-92cm. In addition to the title of 1st Runner-up of Miss World Vietnam 2023, Dao Thi Hien also achieved a series of impressive achievements within the framework of this beauty contest: Top 4 Head To Head - Brave Beauty; Top 5 Tourism Beauty; Top 5 Sea Beauty and won the Beauty with a Heart award.

She is known as the younger sister of the beauty Dao Thi Ha - Top 5 Miss Vietnam 2016, Top 5 Miss Universe 2019. Before winning the 1st Runner-up Miss World Vietnam 2023, Dao Thi Hien participated in the Miss Tourism Vietnam 2022 contest and entered the Top 5 finalists.

In March 2024, the beauty from Nghe An shared the good news that she officially graduated with honors from Hanoi University of Business and Technology. At that time, runner-up Dao Thi Hien shared with Dan Viet that she would focus on her graduate studies and develop her role as an MC because this is one of her passions.
