Dedicate gifts to building houses for poor households

On June 21, Mr. Le Duy Hung, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Bo Trach district (Quang Binh) said that on the occasion of the 17th Congress of the Fatherland Front of Bo Trach district, term 2024-2029, the Congress Organizing Committee agreed not to accept congratulatory flowers; instead, the Congress's congratulatory gifts were used to support the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households in the district.

Specifically, the invitation to the 17th Bo Trach District Front Congress, term 2024-2029, clearly stated: "Implementing the emulation movement "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses", the Congress does not accept congratulatory flowers; all sentiments of organizations and individuals towards the Congress are supported through the Congress Organizing Committee".

According to Mr. Le Duy Hung, Bo Trach District Front implemented this activity to practically respond to the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in 2025", recently launched by the Prime Minister.

On the day of the Congress, the Organizing Committee will arrange gift boxes to receive the affection and congratulations of agencies, units, organizations and individuals. After the Congress, the Organizing Committee will publicize the congratulatory gifts and transfer them to the “For the Poor” Fund to support poor households in building solidarity houses.

The 17th Congress of Bo Trach District Front, term 2024-2029 will take place on June 25 at the District Cultural Center.

In the last term, from the "For the Poor" Fund and the Provincial Relief Fund, Bo Trach district coordinated to distribute 43,417 gifts worth over 19 billion VND to poor households, policy families, and households in difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year.

In particular, the Fatherland Front at all levels has built and repaired 207 Great Solidarity houses worth nearly 9.5 billion VND; supported 120 poor households and families with difficulties in raising breeding cows and some other livelihood models worth nearly 5.5 billion VND...
