On August 2, in Dong Hoi city, the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Binh province, term 2024 - 2029 with the theme "Solidarity, democracy, innovation, development" was officially and solemnly opened.
After the flag-raising ceremony, to commemorate the great President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of protecting and building the Fatherland, the delegation of the Quang Binh Provincial Fatherland Front Congress observed a minute of silence to commemorate General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee attended and delivered a speech at the Congress.
Attending the Congress were Mr. Vu Dai Thang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Tran Hai Chau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Tran Thang, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; delegates of the emulation cluster of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the North Central provinces; leaders of departments, branches, unions and 291 official delegates representing all walks of life, classes, ethnic groups, religions, intellectuals, and businessmen in the area.
In her opening speech, Ms. Pham Thi Han, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Binh province affirmed: The 14th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Binh province, term 2024-2029 is an important political event, a broad political activity among all classes of people.
According to Ms. Han, this Congress has the task of evaluating the results of the 13th Front's work, term 2019 - 2024, from which to draw lessons, propose the 14th Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Action Program, term 2024 - 2029 with specific goals, directions, tasks and solutions to effectively organize the implementation of the Congress Resolution.
In the 2019-2024 term, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Quang Binh has comprehensively and effectively implemented 5 Action Programs set forth by the 13th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Many contents and fields have been creatively implemented, achieving outstanding results, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of the province's political, socio-economic, defense and security tasks.
Patriotic emulation movements and campaigns initiated by the Front and its member organizations have achieved remarkable results; social security work has seen many innovations, especially in resource mobilization and innovating support methods for beneficiaries, contributing to improving material life and enriching the spiritual life of the people.
The 14th Provincial Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the 2024 - 2029 term is determined to "promote democracy, the strength of great national unity; innovate and improve the effectiveness of the activities of the Fatherland Front at all levels, contributing to the development of Quang Binh". The Congress has chosen 3 breakthroughs, which are: Improving the quality of social supervision and criticism activities. Strengthening the mobilization of resources to effectively implement the movement of "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" for poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances. Focusing on residential areas, focusing on building "Self-governed, united, prosperous and happy" residential areas associated with the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; at the same time focusing on 6 action programs; 10 main targets for the 2024 - 2029 term.
The Congress consulted and elected 91 members of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 14th term, 2024 - 2029, and elected a Standing Committee of 7 members; including 1 Chairman, 3 Vice Chairmen, and 3 Standing Committee members.
Ms. Pham Thi Han, Chairwoman of the 13th Provincial Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Binh Province, was consulted to continue holding the position of Chairwoman of the 14th Provincial Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Binh Province. The 3 Vice Chairwomen include Mr. and Mrs. Truong Van Hoi, Le Cong Cuong, and Le Thi My Hien.
The consultative congress of delegates attending the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2024 - 2029, includes 7 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Vu Dai Thang, Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Front at all levels during the current term and affirmed: “The contributions of the Front at all levels in the province during the 2019-2024 term are very positive, demonstrating solidarity, unity, responsibility and high determination in their activities. The role and position of the Front continue to be affirmed and enhanced in social life, the close relationship between the Front and all classes of people is increasingly strengthened”.
To continue to strengthen and promote the strength of the great national unity bloc in the new term, Mr. Vu Dai Thang emphasized 4 important contents on propaganda, thoroughly grasping Ho Chi Minh's thought, the Party's guidelines and policies on great national unity, especially Resolution No. 43 of the Party Central Committee " Continue to promote the tradition and strength of great national unity, building our country to be increasingly prosperous and happy" .
According to the Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, in the new term, the Fatherland Front at all levels in Quang Binh province will continue to improve the quality and effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, focusing on the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".
Innovate the content and methods of operation towards being close to the people and focusing on the grassroots. Promote democracy, representation, and protection of the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; actively participate in Party building and building a strong government, especially at the grassroots level; strengthen supervision and social criticism.
At the Congress, delegates listened to an important speech by Mr. Nguyen Huu Dung, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee.
