The Vietnam-Japan International U13 Football Tournament ended last night (December 15) with the championship title going to the host team Binh Duong. This annual tournament once again saw the host team win the cup after defeating the guest team from Japan, FC Tokyo.
Binh Duong youth team also won individual titles including best goalkeeper (Tran Gia Huy), top scorer and best player of the tournament (Truong Tuan Bao). In addition to Binh Duong winning the championship, host Vietnam also had another representative win bronze medal, the Hanoi youth team.

The Vietnam-Japan International U13 Football Tournament is an annual event that has been held for the past 6 years. This is one of the international youth tournaments that gathers many foreign guest teams. This year, the tournament has 12 participating teams, including 6 domestic teams: Becamex Binh Duong, Hue, Dong Thap, Hanoi, An Giang, Navy Phu Nhuan - Ho Chi Minh City.
The guest teams of the 2024 International U13 Football Tournament are mostly from Japan. They are representatives of the top youth football centers in the land of the rising sun. They are Kawasaki Frontale, Vegalta Sendai Junior Youth, Yokohama FC Tsurumi, FC Tokyo and Shimizu S-pulse. The remaining guest team is FELDA Academy from Malaysia.
"I hope that, after this special football event, the young players who are nurturing their dreams of flying high on the path of playing football as well as becoming national players will grow stronger and will welcome more international clubs to participate in the following seasons," said Mr. Dang Tran Chinh, representative of the host team Binh Duong.
After the final match, the organizers arranged an All-Stars match, a confrontation between the best players of the tournament. The Vietnamese team won 3-1 against the invited team Japan - Malaysia.
