Important milestones for the 2025 high school graduation exam that candidates need to remember

This year’s high school graduation exam will take place on June 26-27. According to the Ministry of Education and Training’s instructions, candidates will start registering for the exam from April 21 to 5pm on April 28.

Before that, candidates have 4 days to register for the test online, from April 15 to 18.

Details of important milestones of the 2025 high school graduation exam that candidates need to remember:

2025 is the year when the first batch of students following the new general education program will take the high school graduation exam. Candidates will take the exam in 4 subjects instead of 6 as before. The two compulsory subjects are Math and Literature; the two optional subjects are Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geography, History, Economics and Law Education, Information Technology, Technology and Foreign Languages ​​(English, German, Russian, Japanese, French, Chinese, Korean). This is the first time that Information Technology and Technology (Industry, Agriculture) have become graduation exams.

Regarding the formula for calculating graduation scores, exam scores account for 50%; the rest is the grade 10, 11 and 12 transcript scores (50%) and priority points if any. Compared to before, the transcript score increased by 20%.

The high school graduation exam results were announced on July 16, one day earlier than last year.
