Vietnamese youth are excited when Korean stars land at the "New Korean Center in Hanoi"
Korea Travel Festa officially opened after the start button ceremony, amidst the cheers of “Road to the K” from thousands of spectators. The event was jointly organized by the Korea Tourism Organization in Vietnam and Vingroup to promote and foster cultural exchange between the two countries. This is also a special gift for tourists, Hallyu followers, and the Korean community in Vietnam.
The event excited young people as soon as it was revealed. Many people had to travel very far to be present at K-Town on the weekend.
“I am a fan of K-Pop. When I heard that Highlight and One Million would be participating in the Korea Travel Festa event, I booked a flight to Hanoi. When I got there, I realized that the atmosphere was so passionate, the stage was extremely impressive, and as grand as any high-class concert,” Nguyen Minh Thu, a young person from Ho Chi Minh City, shared.
The performances with catchy melodies, eye-catching choreography, combined with special stage effects, received thunderous applause from the audience. As promised, in addition to the hits that made the group famous, Highlight brought to Korea Travel Festa the title song “Body” from the album Vol.5 “Switch On” released on April 11.
One Million still maintains its position as a leading dance group in Korea, under the leadership of “K-Pop choreographer” LiaKim, bringing youthful and hot dances. Before that, the group had an impromptu exchange with fans, delighted to receive many meaningful gifts, including conical hats – a typical symbol of Vietnamese culture.
The Vbiz representatives also had equally excellent performances. Combining with the dance troupe, both Min and Issac made the stage explode with hits that have received millions of views and are still stirring up the Vietnamese music market: "Co em cho", "Mr.Right", "Anh se ve som thoi"...
In addition to the individual performances of the top stars, the stage of Korea Travel Festa was also heated up by the vibrant K-Pop dance cover collaboration of The A-code with the traditional flute performance troupe Co la.
The stage, which simulates Gwanghwamun, a typical traditional Korean architecture, truly creates a harmonious and impressive picture when the Korean Cultural Heritage Foundation Art Troupe appears. With 43 years of promoting traditional Korean music to many countries, the artists continue to tell the heritage story through graceful dances combining musical instruments and traditional costumes.
“The music night brought many emotions. The audience enjoyed the cultural story through music, following the flow of time and space, from tradition to modernity, from unique identity to exchange and harmony. It was worth the effort to travel nearly 100km to K-Town to participate in this event,” said Khanh Duong, an audience member from Ninh Binh.
In addition to a unique and impressive music and art performance stage, the space of Korea Travel Festa also expanded to many other diverse activities. Fans of the game League of Legends had the opportunity to meet and interact with 5 talented players, including Berl, Showmaker, Deft, Morgan, Lucid; and watch the intense match between LCK Korea and Influencer Vietnam.
In addition, 40 booths introducing and promoting Korean culture and tourism with themes such as K-Pop, K-Drama, LCK... also bring visitors the opportunity to explore and experience authentic Korean culture.
After hours of "going all out" with idols, experiencing all the booths at Korea Travel Festa, visitors to K-Town on the weekend also "race against time" to explore the "New Korean Center in Hanoi" when the experience menu here seems to be endless: check-in at the streets with traditional Hanok architecture of K-Legend or modern, iconic art-works on K-Street; enjoy authentic Korean dishes, shop, entertain, and have fun at more than 300 commercial shops here...
“We felt like we were lost in a completely new space, with everything we love about Korea gathered here. From dishes like kimchi, gimbap, tokokki, fried chicken... to the hottest Korean fashion and cosmetic products today, everything is available,” Hoang Anh (21 years old), excitedly shared.
Among the crowd flocking to K-Town on the weekend, there were also nearly 1,000 visitors from the Korean community in Hanoi and neighboring provinces. Participating in the Summer K-Day Camp, friends from the land of kimchi had a morning of intense exercise in games at the "wonder" VinWonders Wave Park (Vinhomes Ocean Park 2), then continued to "party" enthusiastically with the series of activities of Korea Travel Festa, resting, relaxing and discovering the unique features of K-Town.
“Meeting Korean friends in Vietnam, and then being able to participate in cultural events that are deeply rooted in my homeland, made me feel like I had never left my homeland. I have been working in Hanoi for the past 3 years, and this journey made me think seriously about choosing a place to stay long-term as a second home,” said Hwang Jong Suk, a participant in the Summer K-Day Camp.
Thousands of Hallyu fans and Korean tourists have immersed themselves in endless fun experiences with the Korea Travel Festa and Summer K-Day Camp. Not stopping at the 2 weekends, K-Town will be continuously bustling with a series of Korean cultural events throughout 365 days of the year, worthy of being the "New Korean Center in Hanoi", contributing to making Ocean City an ideal meeting place for the Korean community.
