An Giang Provincial Statistics Office guides rural and agricultural census operations

- On the morning of March 27, the An Giang Provincial Statistics Office held a training conference on professional skills in collecting information from household and farm lists in the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census.

Deputy Head of An Giang Provincial Statistics Office Le Van Sau chaired the conference; together with delegates from departments, leaders and civil servants of the Provincial Statistics Office, and District Statistics Teams attended.

At the conference, the reporter introduced the process of collecting information from household and farm lists; introduced household and farm lists; provided instructions on using the survey management website and CAPI survey software (direct interviewing using mobile devices). The delegates discussed the method of making lists, business processes and practical situations that may arise, in order to ensure accuracy and consistency in the work of making lists.

The 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census is one of the most important Censuses of the statistics sector, conducted periodically every 10 years, to collect comprehensive information on the current situation and development of rural and agricultural areas across the country. The results of the Census will be the basis for policy making and socio-economic development planning in the coming time.

The time for collecting household list information is from March 1 to May 30, 2025 for urban areas and from May 1 to May 30, 2025 for rural areas.
