All handsome boys and beautiful girls born in 2000, Phuong Nhi, Thang Long, Kieu Khanh are typical faces, representing the young generation of Dragons who are ready to "reach out to the ocean", accepting challenges to perfect themselves.
Entering the new year of Giap Thin, 3 talented young people had the opportunity to look back at the memorable milestones they achieved in the past year and share with Dan Tri reporters about the plans they wish to cherish and carry out.
Do Hoang Phuong Nhi
Do Hoang Phuong Nhi (born 2000, Hanoi) is the valedictorian of K57, Hanoi Foreign Trade University with an absolute GPA of 4.0/4.0. After receiving a full MEXT scholarship from the Japanese government, she began her master's degree at Waseda University - the school that has trained many politicians and celebrities in Japan.
After graduating as valedictorian from Hanoi Foreign Trade University, Phuong Nhi continued to pursue her studies in Japan.
Talking about the proudest thing she has done in the past year, Phuong Nhi said: "2023 is a year with many new things for me. For the first time, I experienced living independently in a foreign country, using the scholarship money and other income to pay for tuition and some personal expenses."
This year’s Lunar New Year coincides with the spring break in Japan, so Phuong Nhi does not have to celebrate the new year far from home. The student especially loves the moment of watching fireworks with her family, writing the first words of the year, and eating traditional dishes such as banh chung and thit jelly…
The precious gift Phuong Nhi recently rewarded herself with was spending 10 days visiting places near Tokyo, Japan.
In the new year 2024, Phuong Nhi hopes to focus on completing her thesis, continuing other research activities, improving her Japanese language skills and possibly finding some suitable part-time jobs in the land of cherry blossoms.
Nguyen Cam Kieu Khanh
Nguyen Cam Kieu Khanh (born 2000, Hue) graduated as valedictorian in Pharmaceutical Chemistry with a perfect GPA of 4.3/4.3. She excelled in winning a full master's scholarship at the University of British Columbia (Canada), and continued to study Pharmaceutical Science there.
Few people know that the Hue female student pursued Chemistry since she was a middle school student.
Kieu Khanh herself had to celebrate Tet away from home for 5 years, so she really misses the atmosphere of welcoming the New Year in Vietnam. During this time, the female student and her international students will gather to cook, organize cultural performances and welcome the New Year together.
Unable to enjoy the Lunar New Year atmosphere in Vietnam, Kieu Khanh still continued her research work and went to school as usual.
In 2023, Kieu Khanh tried hard in work and study but could not take care of and exercise her health. The female student hopes that in the coming New Year of the Dragon, she will have many positive changes in all matters and spend more time with her family.
Lai Ngoc Thang Long
Lai Ngoc Thang Long (born 2000, Ha Tinh) is a former student majoring in Computer Science at Hanoi University of Science and Technology. He was once the valedictorian of the school with a GPA of 3.93/4.0, won scholarships for all semesters, and worked with many large corporations in Vietnam...
Before graduating, Thang Long had accumulated 2 years of working experience in positions related to data science and artificial intelligence.
The proudest thing in the past year for Thang Long was becoming the valedictorian of Hanoi University of Science and Technology. This is the result of a long period of effort and struggle. With impressive academic achievements, he quickly got good job opportunities and a stable source of income.
With the mindset of a Dragon, Thang Long hopes that 2024 will bring many new opportunities to develop his career and learn more knowledge from his seniors in the field. The guy born in 2000 wants to carry out big projects, improve his professional skills and expand his relationships in society.
Not only developing his career, Thang Long also wants to balance his personal life and family time.
Thang Long likes the feeling of being surrounded by family, relatives and friends during Tet holiday the most. On the occasion of the new year, he wants to spend more time with his family, rest and regain energy after a busy time.
