Ho Chi Minh City Hundreds of people jostled and pushed each other waiting to receive rice and charity money at a beauty salon in District 6, causing disorder.
On the afternoon of September 1, a representative of the People's Committee of District 6 said that the unit had worked with the owner of the beauty salon to investigate the incident of a large crowd gathering and causing disorder while distributing charity gifts.
Yesterday afternoon, a beauty salon on An Duong Vuong Street, Ward 13, distributed 2.5 tons of rice and 500 envelopes worth 300,000 VND each. Hundreds of people came to the gate, spilled out onto the street, and pushed and shoved. Inside the fence, some ward police and civil defense officers reminded people to maintain order, but to no avail.

According to the video posted by the facility, hundreds of people pushed down the stainless steel gate and rushed inside to get the bags of rice. They then rushed inside the facility, pushing and shoving, causing some to faint and be carried inside.
A representative of the District 6 People's Committee said the chaos was caused by the place where the gifts were distributed not anticipating the large number of people coming. The owner did not notify the ward in advance to prepare a plan, and when the people gathered, they contacted the support force, which was too few. No one was injured after the incident.
The beauty salon refused to answer about the theft, some extremists held knives and threatened the staff.
On the occasion of the full moon of the seventh lunar month, people often have the habit of making offerings, scattering money to the wandering souls or giving alms to bring good luck and smooth business. However, this has led to fights and disorder among people who fight over the wandering souls' things.
