Viettel Phu Tho installs additional BTS stations at Van Lang Park Lake.
It is expected that during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Anniversary - Hung Temple Festival and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in 2024, the number of users accessing the telecommunications network will increase by about 60 - 80% compared to normal days, especially during peak times of organizing events, the number of users accessing the network can increase many times.
To ensure communication and mobile coverage quality to serve the province's direction and operation and meet the communication needs of people and tourists attending the festival, the Department of Information and Communications has directed telecommunications enterprises in the province to inspect and review the current situation, propose solutions to ensure telecommunications infrastructure as well as ensure information security and safety; increase the configuration capacity of fixed mobile information transmission and reception stations (BTS stations), deploy the installation of mobile BTS stations in Viet Tri City and Hung Temple Historical Site.

Since the beginning of March, Viettel Phu Tho has developed plans to ensure communication for people and tourists when they come to Hung Temple Festival. Up to this point, Viettel Phu Tho has upgraded stations around the relic site, neighboring districts such as Lam Thao, Phu Ninh, Hung Vuong Square area, Van Lang Park Lake in Viet Tri City and areas where festival events are held.
Adding 4G network infrastructure resources with a total of 98 solutions including: 42 mobile BTS stations, 6 mobile broadcasting vehicles; upgrading 50 more 4G cells for stations around Van Lang Park and Hung Temple Historical Site. Increasing the number of staff on duty 24/7 at the festival event areas, ready to ensure communication before, during and after the festival, meeting the needs of tourists and people attending the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival in 2024.
Major Ha Huy Thao - Head of Viettel Phu Tho Infrastructure Engineering Department said: "We have reviewed locations expected to attract a large number of tourists to install mobile BTS stations, broadcast new stations, supplement resources, upgrade maximum capacity, prepare mobile receiving and transmitting vehicles... Each mobile receiving and transmitting vehicle has the capacity equivalent to four regular transmitting and receiving stations and has fiber optic cables, power sources from two directions 1+1 to ensure the safety of the station. The number of additional network infrastructures is ready to serve over 200,000 subscribers at the same time."
In addition, Viettel Phu Tho also thoroughly instructed its affiliated units to strictly comply with regulations on safety assurance and fire prevention. Regularly inspect and review the network and take timely preventive measures to ensure information security for the people and tourists. In particular, focusing on transmission lines, BTS stations at key points, telecommunication stations with transit and transmission locations, and information hubs serving the direction and operation of Party and government agencies.

To best serve the people attending the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day and participating in the activities, VNPT Phu Tho has mobilized all resources, carefully prepared technical work, ensured information security; at the same time, urgently completed projects to expand the network, upgrade the system, and enhance network capacity to serve the people and tourists when making pilgrimages to the Ancestral Land. The unit has upgraded more than 40 fixed BTS stations, installed eight additional transmission and reception locations in areas of the Hung Kings Temple Historical Site, Van Lang Park Lake and Hung Kings Square, Viet Tri City... Opened inter-provincial and international transmission traffic rescue during the festival to prevent congestion and traffic flow during the Hung Kings Temple Festival, ensuring service for more than two million tourists attending the festival.
In addition to preparing good infrastructure and technical solutions, network operators also proactively and strictly implement regulations on ensuring network safety, information security and fire and explosion prevention and control; prepare preventive measures, ready to deploy in a timely manner to respond to urgent and unexpected requests, ensuring smooth and convenient communication during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival.
