At around 2:20 p.m. on August 21, while patrolling and controlling traffic on National Highway 26, Captain Kieu Thanh Hung (Traffic Police Department, Dak Lak Province Police) discovered a stack of money dropped on the side of the road.
Immediately afterwards, Captain Kieu Thanh Hung coordinated with the Ea Knuec Commune Police (Krong Pak District) to count the pile of money totaling 29 million VND and sealed it according to regulations. Captain Kieu Thanh Hung also reported the entire incident to his superiors for a handling plan.
Speaking to VietNamNet reporters on the evening of August 21, Captain Kieu Thanh Hung said that after picking up the large amount of money, he reported it to the local police and superior agencies with the hope of quickly finding the person who dropped it to return it.
The Traffic Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police has asked people to share information. If they know the identity of the person who dropped the money, they should notify the Ea Knuec Commune Police or Captain Kieu Thanh Hung (Phone: 0946961919) to complete the procedures to receive the money back.
