On April 25, Ms. Ann Mawe, Ambassador of Sweden to Vietnam, visited and worked at An Giang University to promote cooperation with the school in the fields of education and research and development.

Here, Ms. Ann Mawe shared the policies that Sweden is applying for sustainable development; in which priority is given to education development with many support policies for people to develop comprehensively. Currently, Sweden is promoting cooperation, implementing many programs to support students and lecturers when studying and researching in Sweden and Swedish training programs in Vietnam.
Ms. Ann Mawe highly appreciated the facilities of An Giang University and hoped that the school would promote cooperation with Sweden in training and research and development programs.

Associate Professor Dr. Ho Thanh Binh, Vice Rector of An Giang University, said that cooperation with partners and experts from Sweden has always played an important role in An Giang University's international policies. Up to now, many staff and lecturers of the university have studied master's and doctoral programs in Sweden or Swedish programs in Vietnam.
In addition, An Giang University has also implemented many projects in cooperation with Swedish organizations. In 2016, the group of lecturers and students of the university was honored to win second prize in the Smart Water Initiative competition organized by the Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam.

Mr. Binh informed that information, innovation and sustainability are the topics that the school pays attention to in teaching, scientific research and transfer. The school's lecturers and students wish to participate more and be more responsible for community service activities and sustainable development, especially in the context of globalization and climate change. The school hopes that cooperation in education and science will truly bring many benefits to the people of both countries.

On this occasion, Mr. Ola Karlman, Head of Promotion, Economic and Political Affairs, Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam, had an exchange at An Giang University in the program "Pioneer the Possible" to share about the innovation process, promoting sustainable development of Swedish enterprises abroad in general and in Vietnam in particular.
